How much was the rough estimate for a full spray?

I honestly don't see the problem. All the street machines / show cars are resprayed, so why not a skyline?

If it's quality, it will show.

I get mates rates so it's just materials for me, around 4-5k was his guess.

He said a proper costed job would be easily 10k+

I'm going to sit on it and see if I can get a Gunmetal Vspec II as I want that colour and interior combo.

How many people actually check the paint codes, enthusiasts, maybe most, general punters, not many I wouldn't think.

And after registering the colour change with the DMT/RTA/BOATSANDCARSANDSTUFF the car will be registered as at new colour.

I would buy a resprayed car if it was the colour and modified the way I wanted, after I had a accident check done and climbed around under the car checking rails and such of course.

I've seen a lot of older cars (big dollar old steel bumper cars) which have had a colour change done properly and you cannot tell (unless you look at the codes on the plate) you do need to strip the car to a bare shell but in the end if you get a good (read proper) job done you would never know.

And really, we are not talking about a $???,??? classic cars.

I agree with the comments about the price dropping, over the next 5 to 10 years fairly substantially too, just like the 32 and 33 did.

As for the 32,33 ,34 variants, Its really about the body shape you want in the end, you are going to be looking at it in your garage.

For me, a white 32 with a 33 - 34 powertrain/interior would be nice to look at in my garage.

Good luck with your hunting.

I am biased to the 34 but heres my 2 cents; if you can, find a really clean original car with maybe some quality stage 1 mods. Then build on that, enjoying each and every subtle improvement that you make. Dont change too much at once. The Nissan OEM parts are good so don't waste money on anything that you don't need. Drive it lots and never sell it, ever, or you will regret it one day.

BNR34 is the last RB and true manual GTR its a 100% guaranteed future classic collectable.
