boobeedoobee
Hi i am about to do the timing belt and water pump. Pretty much a major service on the car. I have bought greddy pulley kit and was wondering whether to update the old harmonic balancer. Is the ross metal jacket balancer a worthy upgrade? boobeedoobee
Use the search function or f**k off, you are wasting the resource that sau is well I have used the search button Brett.. and have found mixed thoughts and no clear answers. . Also products do change and develop. If you have nothing nice or productive to contribute why act like some tough guy over the Internet? Please refrain from further discussion on this topic as you obviously know everything right? or do I need your permission before asking a question on this forum? Seriously dude.. Trex
He actually knows quite a lot haha. Really man I told you in your first thread just ask you question through google and type sau at the end. If you're still struggling for a definitive answer ask here and give your reasons as to why. I don't mind some of these threads as it broadens my mindset on modifications but some are asked over and over again and become frustrating to some members who answer these same questions over and over again. Trex
Old threads are often the better ones. You have to remember, the people who owned these cars in 06' were a lot smarter and better off than you or I. Well that's the way I look at it. I'm not going to argue with that but.. like I've said products develop the same harmonic balancer built by ross in 06 well I dare say might have improved in 2015 .. no? breaker1845
A Ross or ATI Balancer are definitely better than the factory one. But the question is why would you need/want to replace the factory one if it is in good condition anyway? Thanks.. as I'm replacing every other pulley there I thought I would do the same to the balancer. As it's a 25 year old car now it makes sense. . Shoota_77
If the rubber looks like it's starting to crack (they all have a certain amount of fine cracks) then definitely replace it. Gives you the option of going trigger kit down the track if you go with a Ross too. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/455834-ross-harmonic-balancer-thoughts-as-to-whether-this-is-a-worthy-upgrade/#findComment-7518441 Share on other sites
