so if i was to follow the sau guide to change a belt,

when everything is tdc and at the markers.

will the cams move?

If you are asking if you need to hold/lock the cams while removing/changing the belt, the answer is no.

While some twin cam engines do require this, RB's do not. The reason being, that the cams aren't rocking/under tension at TDC.

I.E. They (the cams) won't try and rotate on you when you release the belt tension.

but yes, if you turn the cams hard, and more than a little, you can bend valves.

Yes, they are in interference engine.

Yes the 6-cylinder engines are fine.

Little Ca's are a bugger, they turn their cams as soon as the belt comes off.

Two man job for a baby engine.
