High temps alone wont really crack it, Ive had mine glowing on the dyno and it never cracked.

But Shock loading it will.

Driven through any big puddles or anything Genelle?

Nope just my normal cruising on the highways,in 5th gear eboost 2says very little boost. :-)

30,000km a year, is a lot of fuel, how often is your mechanic replacing the fuel filter? I would hope at least every twelve months, but If it has been an oversight, it could potentially explain the problem. And If neglected enough it may have had a knock on effect with your injectors. It would also reduce fuel pressure/flow.

I get a full service every 10000 this includes all filters and oil.:-)

Fuel filter is replaced every 10000. :-)

30,000k per year is not excessive for country folk. We do that in the Mr's car then plus whatever I do in mine.

Also sounds like the servicing is up to the mark.

I'm wondering if you've just been unlucky, mechanic had sourced 2nd hand manifolds that may have already started to crack, they have a reputation for doing so.

I think if all suggestions are taken on board at the "next" replacement you might have a better outcome.

Check replacement for cracks, machine true to head and turbo, replace missing studs, ensure sufficient clearance around studs and thick washers, Nissan gaskets, dump supported by bracket (without inducing stress), flex joint from dump……..

If after all that it still fails, buy a Commo.
