I like something around 500bhp from fly which i think would be around 400 at wheel, right ? CONVERSION IS EASILY SEARCHABLE

I don't want to go forge or change cams at this stage . SEARCHABLE TO SEE WHAT STOCK ENGINE CAN DO

I have seen gt35,30,28 and number of others but not sure what is best for me . NO ONE DOES EXCEPT YOU, I SAY GT3076

everyone has a different opinion reading around . what would you get and what is the max power from the turbo at what psi ? WHOLE THREADS ON TURBO RESULTS = SEARCHABLE

I think gt30 is low mount which is good but gt35 or other are high mount and if i was to run gt 35 , I think it will be very lazy as I will be running it at a very low boost , right ? VERY SEARCHABLE TO SEE TYPICAL RESULTS FROM THIS TURBIZZLE

I think minimum mod to get to 500 bhp is :

550 or above injectors

bigger intercooler

ecu ( link 4)

turbo . PLENTY OF SEARCHABLE ON WHAT MODS NEEDED FOR POWER LEVLES - FUEL ECU ETC

and possibly manifold if it is not straight bolt on as most people say gt30 is .

am i right ?can i expect safe 500bhp from the car with the above cost and mod ? THIS ONE COULD BE DISCUSSABLE, ONCE YOU HAVE DECIDED ON A SETUP

if I was to do this in stages and buy the turbo and do no remap but run it at low boost , will it work ? ANY TURBO CAN BE RUN AT LOW/ZERO BOOST...BUT NO ONE WOULD, THEY'D WANT TO CAIN IT, HUMAN NATURE

dude I'm all in favour of helping those that need it, but those that don't help themselves I'm not so keen on. I've made some notes above to assist you in your quest. I'd advise do some more research, decide on a setup that will work for your goals and budget, then put it forward for discussion and for people to make recommendations on. Just asking for info to be broadly given to you really pisses ppl off, gets you less genuine replies, and ties up the forums on here.

Some of my questions as said was for confirmation of what was read

But cool mate no more replies will work it out.

What annoys other is thinking i am lazy and I can't be as i want to do it all or most diy and you can't fo it unless you know what you are doing

But then u need help everyone now and then which most people on this forum are brilliant at giving apart from few odd one

You should help him . you know, so he stays.

Give a man a turbo he turbos for a day.

Teach a man to turbo he turbos for a lifetime.

Boost on brother.

This forum has the knowledge, but the same questions get asked all the time and they are the most entry level questions imaginable, if you have serious questions that cant be answered by a simple google they come and ask.

but you really need to apply building your own knowledge first by learning and yes it may not be the quick way but it is the only way to really understand what it is your trying to do...

I have mate don't know why some don't get it

So many choices wanted to get further views but of course all posts are currently joke

You already have too many choices and you want MORE opinions??? Lol. Sorry mate. Opinions are like arseholes, everyone's got one. The signal to noise isn't going to be any better if you ask the same old question again.

Honestly, do your research. Form your own opinion, and go with it. The decision will be yours, it will be based on the information available and you can justify the choice to yourself. And it will be a better decision than "some random dude on the internet said it was good" because you know what you want and you put the thought into it yourself.

I can't count how many times I've spent 5 hours trawling forums for info. It happens. When it gets a bit much, make a spreadsheet of the important factors to you. Or there's another tactic, Say you have 4 items to choose from. Pick two at random and pick the better one out of those two. Don't hesitate, just pick one. Right. Now look at the other two. Pick one. The two winners - put them together. Pick one. That's your final choice. Once you've done all the research you just need to trust your gut instinct.

we are friendly, we haven't told him to neck himself yet :)

well you see, most of the smart arse replies are actually from the older crew..

ok let's play nice kids..

OP, what power do you want? and at what RPM do you want to hit your targeted boost? and the final question.. how much money do you want to blow?

    • UPDATE: Hi all!  As we are getting towards the end of this thread where I’ll showcase final dyno numbers and graph, I wanted to provide an update. Tao from HyperGear has done an amazing job building the custom divided T3 housing for the G30. Communication was flawless, price was great, and now the housing is estimated to arrive in 7-10 days! Very very pleased. I must add, if someone is looking for an affordable turbo and end up reading this thread, I would recommend HyperGear. Genuine brands are the way to go as their proven reliability, predictable performance, and there’s a plethora of information available for specs, flow, and more. This HyperGear recommendation is based on their excellent communication, dedication, and willingness to listen to their customers. I particularly liked their ability to create custom adaptations tailored to specific needs, which is a HUGE benefit over other brands. And if we consider the HyperGear provided dyno results, it adds reassurance knowing their turbos can compete against genuine brands. Next update will be after the dyno!
    • I've previously seen people post up "dress up bolt kits" for RBs but don't remember seeing them specify the full contents. I can only really suggest you grab the verniers and start measuring, and keep in mind the cam cover and timing cover bolts are both quite specific with a wider unthreaded section where the bushes sit, that will make it hard to get aftermarket replacements which tend to be all thread (set screws) or for longer bolts a flat section with a shorter threaded section at the end
    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
    • Wasn't there a thread on this very subject just a few weeks ago?
