Looking for a little help if anybody is using these.

I've asked around and the general consensus is the exterior valve cap versions are very in-accurate.

I'd like to try them on the trailer and if they work properly I think I might fit them to the Skyline.

I noticed one of the Targa Skyline cars were using them at High Country last year but never got to ask what they thought of them.

Something like this.

Neil, i have been looking for something as well with the option to have a data output so i can feed the info to the logger and dash.

The type you have pictured seem to be the type that a lot of OEM and the V8SC teams use, one thing i noticed was the V8 teams have a pick up sensor near each wheel as do a lot of the OEM manufacturers however the aftermarket ones like the one you have pictured use a generic aerial, it might mean you need to program each time.

I purchased a while ago an Orange TPMS which worked well and i used it on the trailer however when i got new tyres on two of the wheels on the trailer i think the guys installing it must have stuffed the sensors as they developed a slow leak and i had to replace them with std valves and i put the TPMS back on the shelf where it has stayed for a fair few years.

I've been using one of these in the GTR in Targa events and at track days for the last 3 years.

Has saved two tyres so far. One had a leaking valve, the other picked up a nail just before the end of a stage. While there may be more accurate systems or ones that provide more data this doesn't require you to remove the tyre to install the sensor or to change batteries. Can set up low pressure, high pressure and high temperature warnings which are loud enough to hear over the car when racing.
