Corey, what about jeeps? Few Cherokees around? Also looking at pajero's prado's pathfinders and maybe x5's

Stay away from jeeps unless you like catching on fire

Yes to prados, and x5's seem nice

Pathfinders are a pain to repair, especially the transfer cases and the electrics. Early Pajeros are good, the new ones had a recall from memory for overheating problems but they are weeding them out, gearboxes in them are strong but if you are going to tow campers/boats/caravans/race cars you may need to invest in airbags as they sag in the ass real bad

Leaning towards pajero's now. Only looking at putting 150ish on the ball. That only drops the rear of the zook 25mm so doubt the paj will sag any further. Unfortunately recently found out our car is good for 85kg only. Spewin cos it tows it well

Something like this Trev? Pajero's depreciate far worse than Prados so you can pick up a relatively late model one in good condition for considerably less $$

One of our mechanics had one, did 400,000 kms without too many dramas.

120 Series Prado would be a good tow vehicle as well if you can find one at a comparable price to a Pajero.
