Has it ever had a coolant flush? Different coolant colours have different additives to stop issues like this

Last coolant change was the issue I think.

Its only ever had 1 other change, done at the end of the warranty with dealer coolant. Just did the 90 000km service, thought I would slip a coolant change in 10K km early because I had it on a hoist and it was easy to do, and ever since it has been spitting o-rings and seals all over the place.

Change was made to the Nulon red. I am fkn kicking myself as I usually just use a glycol concetrate and distilled water mixed by me, but I got sucked in to the easy route and now I am paying for it :(

If you need parts my mate is a service manager at Ford. If you can't be assed chewing out the stuffed old back I could put a good word in for you to get it fixed:-) p.m.

I will probably take you up on this.

I actually bought this car, because a past member on here was a Ford parts manager, and he saved me literally thousands when i bought it, and made sure it left the stealership with some pretty noice ad ons

I miss bardley :(

Bring it to Bunbury and I’ll help you out for a chilli dawg and carton.

Doing it at yours might be do-able but not sure when

My latest multi meter was run over by a Ute months back and is now starting to tell lies. Might order a newbie tomorrow

Every time I go to contract power/mtu/cat/Detroit/speno rail there are blokes running with fluke meters. The bro swears by them.

morning all, I am about to head off to ross auctions there is a police unclaimed goods auction on there starts in about 45mins but item 200 I think has a fluke meter by the looks of it or something? but if anyone has a look at the catalog and would like for me to bid on or see anything for them feel free to holla.

Anything good show up?

So, I have to fkn rant about this or my head will fkn explode.

Every one has those soccer mum type friends that leach their way into your circle of FB etc, right?

Well, somehow I ended up with one of these twatty bourgeois bitches on my feed, and paid little to no attention to it, untill it recently posted a pic of the damage from someone ALMOST running up the back end of its car. I say ALMOST because from the pic its pretty obvious its was a very glancing blow (car was repaired and returned to her in a little over a week)

I STILL didnt pay much attention, until this little gem popped up a little later

Now, its that last sentence that burns my arse like a bad late night burrito, as a frequent payer of compulsory third party insurnace premiums on my rego.

Anyone want to comment on a suitable reaction? Because a public expletive filled rant at the POS on FB just doesnt cut it when they can just delete/report me for it.

Just tell her you reported her for fraud, that will shut her up

Her reflection whilst taking the picture indicates no issues. The damage to the vehicle indicates a very minor graze. There is no damage to the rim and I expect she may have heard the tap but certainly wouldn't have felt much. Broken ribs etc. I call BS.

Ultrasound and Xray show what!!!!

I would suggest she just lays down from now on and never leaves the house as her body must be made of glass.  She could die at any moment
 imagine if she fell over!

    • He made that comment in my thread - In my case the vents ARE to lower engine heat, when the car is not moving, which is the only scenario I have heat problems with the aircon on, sitting in traffic, on 40C+ days. I can't imagine a scenario that this NC needs any at this point in time. I do not know if it will actually make my cooling when the car is MOVING worse, and I sincerely hope that won't be the case. If it does, well, um, f**k.
    • Nice, thanks. Thats why I was asking, there'd been a fair bit of discussion in the E90 world about vents and where it makes sense to put one (ie, over the filters is not great as that is inline or slightly behind the struts and in higher pressure area). I struggle with air flow and pressures. It sill weirds me out that a radiator in the boot can work.
    • Neither really Vents, when located in the right place, will lower the engine bay "pressure", as air has a path to escape, thus lowering the engine bay pressure, thus.....improving the efficiency on the coolant stack (read: IC, condenser, radiator) This is why the Blits vented bonnet on my 33 worked so well, the vent was in the front 1/3 of the bonnet, which put it right after the radiator  If the vents are to far back toward the windscreen, which is a high pressure zone, it can actually force air into the engine bay, causing higher pressure and effectively loosing efficiency on the cooling stack, like the fab of raising the rear of the bonnet, which does allow heat to escape, but only when the car isn't moving  There's heaps of cool "fluid dynamics" info out there, but, I'll attach a video of a 'Merican joint that focuses on "Miatas" as I found it when looking into vents for mine, they explain it way better than me
    • Poor bleeding. That stupid damping loop in the plumbing that should be completely replaced with a braided hose. Just the first 2 that come to mind.
    • Forgive the potentially silly question but are the vents for bay temps? I've been toying with how to reduce my bay temps because man, it gets HOT in there and a small subtle vent somewhere I think might help. Or, maybe they're to assist with just the intake temps?
