Even when I've had bald tires I've never washed out like that at slow speed

Possibly, it was a red road too they have less traction I find (when on my bike).

This was purely a combination of me being a little tired (5am), wet roads and inexperience.

Looking at it in the daylight I'm now not so sure. It's worse than just the door. The frame of the car has a big dent too. Might be giving it to a wrecker soon.

Sucks to hear mate. FYI I have had work done by both D&T Panel (Commodore running a stop sign) and Compleat Smash Repairs (respray) in Osborne Park. Both good workshops.
