Well, this thing looks awesome!

Its coming with three engines now;

2.0L TURBO
This turbocharged driving force is primed for unexpected levels of refined performance and response thanks to its compact design and the car's lightweight architecture.

6.2L LT1 V8
This reputable small block V8, tailored to satisfy the distinct Camaro spirit, is slated to give the 2016 Camaro SS the highest estimated horsepower of any SS, ever.

3.6L V6
Direct Injeciton and Variable Valve Timing help this proven V6 perform, and if you prefer the new 8-speed automatic transmission, Active Fuel Management comes standard.

Not sure the 4 banger would do the car justice. The LT1 would be a bit of fun though!

I reckon the interior looks fantastic also! Very high-tech Audi-ish. What do you think?

Not reeeeally feeling the C-pillar treatment, smacks a little of Kia/Hyundai, maybe the kick over the rear arches is too high or something. IMHO American muscle should look like an automotive sledgehammer, and this and the latest Mustang aren't working for me when it comes to the rear end.

Therefore I won't buy either. Nothing to do with lack of funds. Honest.

Don't know why anyone would buy the V6, 4 has similar power and more torque.. and that's before you up the boost a tad. I suppose that's why ford australia decided against even offering the V6 mustang here, it also helps with those that the engine has been around for a while, plenty of bolt on upgrades probably floating around and i imagine there will be lots for the turbo Camaro too.

Now if they sold a turbo v6....

they are having the 4cl v6 and v8 mustang here.

lots and lots of cashed up kids will be buying the p plate friendly v6 camaro and mustang.
i work in the holden selling industry and it will be a big deal in v6.

mustang prices are in the 40s-60s on road respecitvly so i imagine the camaro will be a little higher but close to that.

Um no, they're not.

fords website

You do have a good point in that neither will be P plate legal, but the 223kw v6 wouldn't be either so there's no real loss there for ford.

Even the turbo 4 Camaro, with its lower 205kw's, would be a power to weight of ~128, which is not legal for a P plate new car in most states if i remember the current laws correctly
