I have another car onhold which is capable of much more than 13sec so I think my car has retired from the drags for now. This thing now has to go...

lol @ all the comments offering cash .... what the hell else is he going to take - Visa???

Nice car anyhow, and a free bump!

* Rear tyres are down to wear indicators.

* JVC MP3 Headunit is having 'earthing' problems (paid to get it fixed this morning, but it's having issues again, told a new headunit is probably required).

* Handbrake needs adjusting/tightening and also needs a new leather cover.

* Motul Oil + Valvoline oil/fuel filters change done only 150km ago.

$17,000 not neg until the end of March (can't believe i'm doing this).

:bonk:

DUUUUDE!!! You're out of your mind - I'm conviced of it now. Come on people - I can personally vouch for this car - It's WELL worth the money he's asking for it - Heck, it was well worth the money he was ORIGINALLY asking for it! Someone's got to be interested?? Add a nice set of aftermarket rims and you've got a sweet looking and very well performing ride! Ben doesn't have any kids yet, so this has been his baby for the past couple of years - all I can say is, he's going to make a very good father!!

LOL...congrats:thumbsup:

It was only Friday you were talking PFcs etc etc. Can you tell me how you ened up selling it, Tading Post, Carslaes, word of mouth etc, Offer any selling tips other then bend over ans sell cheaply:)?

As im needing to sell my car as quick as possible (after the respray of course:))

Yeah i've been talking P/FC's and AVC-R's for the last 6mths. Everytime I go to purchase new parts someone would call me with an offer so i'd put my money back in my pocket. Then it'd go quiet for a month so i'd be right i'll keep it and get a PowerFC, then another phonecall :(

Well the best piece of advice I can give is accept your first genuine offer. I spent/wasted 10mths trying to sell this for "the right price" meanwhile the value was dropping quicker than the offers. In the end I think I did the smart thing, weighing up the past and future costs and basically 'got rid of it'. If I'd accepted any of my first 3 offers I would have been laughing compared to my end sale price (err giveaway price).

* 10mths with a sticker on my back window (about 15-20 calls, just enquiries nobody arranged to look at it).

* 2wks in the Tradingpost (2 calls, neither looked at it).

* About 4-5mths on Carsales.com.au (about 10 calls and about 3 people looked at it)

* SAU Forums for 10mths, about 5 calls, 1 looked at it.

Without a doubt Carsales is the way to go (The SAU Forums are good because it's free but buyers are alot more pedantic). I've bought my last 3 vehicles from carsales (and sold 2 of those the 3rd I still have).

Anyway ima wait until the financial year is over, see how my tax goes (first year as a 'sole trader') and then go from there...

If anybody pulls up at a set of lights next to a Hiace van with an SAU sticker on it, give us a wave :)

    • Also had a look at the Nissan JP website looks like the 400r has a slightly shorter ratio than than the regular V37 3.133 VS 2.937 which from a guy who has driven both 3.69 vs 4.11 ratios in the S15 is bugger all. Seems that the AUTO Z runs the same ratio as the 400R but can't find any info as to if its an open or LSD? More often than not the auto LSD is open
    • Do not replace the power steering lines with this stuff. If it's anything like the Chase Bays stuff it will leak and be worse than stock. The reason why the reservoir is on the LH/passenger side of the car is because that's just where the reservoir was most convenient to fit. Don't overthink this stuff. The intake/cold side of the engine is pretty busy on these cars. And again, the hardpipe is designed to be a janky power steering cooler. In theory you can replace it with a real power steering cooler but that's really only for track use where boiling the fluid is a distinct possibility. Start with the low pressure lines feeding the pump from the reservoir. Make sure there isn't a bunch of junk in the reservoir filter. Be careful to not get ATF all over the engine bay. I hate dealing with ATF spills, you can clean it up and the slightest crevice will still release more oil that can still drip over time. You also want to inspect for leaks before you make a mess and can't tell what happened. Most likely you have a leak somewhere that is allowing fluid out and air in. Failing that it's allowing air in but not fluid out. Only place I can really see that happening is on the low pressure side because the pump will pull a slight vacuum to draw fluid in. Everything after the pump is high pressure or lower pressure, approaching atmospheric by the time it returns to the reservoir.
    • I did a skidpan night at SMSP this week, it was much cheaper than $350. But yeah, you need to slap an LSD in that thing.  I put an OS Giken in the 370Z and it's f**king MARVELOUS even compared to Nissan's viscous LSD. So you're saying it's free now that it's a housing estate? 😂
    • Nah, the car seems to run exactly as it did prior, in saying this it does "seem" to be better down low, like more eager to rev, but that may be 100% placebo effect from intake noise But, I'm not worried about it at all, in the end it is a fairly low compression NA engine that has a well shrouded intake,  if it is getting hotter IAT I cannot notice anything negative performance wise from the seat of my pants thrashing it about on the street or sitting in traffic, so meh, car now now makes induction noise so I'm happy
    • Do you have an IAT sensor? It's worth checking it to see. You may be suprised how little gap you actually need to flood your engine with hot air. (I tape up my airbox for a reason) :p
