Hey guys tossing up the option between RE403A or the 33 auto box. I'm looking at both fully manualised valve body's and upgraded clutch packs n bands in them want them to hold 500kw ++. Looking at building it myself.

Which one is the most simplest to go behind a r33 skyline ? Also capability and strength wise which is the pick of the bunch? Or tried and proven powerglide option like every other Vl out there.

I couldn't say but what I could say, is that Paul at Keas in Adelaide is the man to speak to. VERY honest bloke ( he talked me OUT of spending money with him and gave me a few suggestions for me to do myself) and very knowledgeable, check their website.

Keas is not in Adelaide, I think you are confusing MV automatics. Who is also good.

I could well be. I'm nowhere near either, but thought when I was on the phone to him he said he works in Adelaide and also out of Melbourne sometimes...

I had a 34 box built by mv and for the price it's not worth the trouble of doing it yourself as there is no manual valve bodies available off the shelf all custom made

What did they charge and what's it rated for if you don't mind me asking ?

$3200 for box build and $560 for the converter. Built for 600kw at the wheels daily driver

Do you need an overdrive (4th)? will it be a daily street driven car?
