Open it up, look for broken or burnt tracks, burnt resistors or diodes, domed, bulged or popped electrolytic capacitors, etc. If you see nothing of the sort, forget about it, get a new one. If you see one or two dead components, look into replacing them. If you see that the board has been scorched and a number of components are affected, forget about it and get a new one.

Throw it away mate, get something else. I had a profec B spec 2 and it stopped working all of a sudden. Opened it up, took it to get checked out and still never worked. Got an Eboost2 now, works great and looks the part.
