Nissan Oil Filter For Vq35hr

Hi guys, just doing an oil change and noticed my new genuine nissan oil filter (blue) is slightly different from the old black one I took off. I assume it's because the black one is made in Japan and the blue one is made in Taiwan?

Sorry, made in Thailand. The blue one fits fine, it's just a bit longer. Seems to run ok.

I wouldn't be worried, as long as the thread is correct and the oil seal sits in the right spot, it will be fine. There are a range of different sized Ryco filters that fit and all work ok.
