Hello from Las Vegas!

Im a long time BMW owner and contributor over at bimmerpost, some of you may recognize my Santorini E92 M3, It got a few likes on instagram over the past couple years.
Anyway, I'm waiting for my '16 F80 M3 to be built and in the mean time I decided to indulge in a long time fantasy of mine which was to own a RHD JDM vehicle (something very rare in America due to DOT regulations), I've always admired the Skyline GTR in all its forms so when I started seeing R32s come available through various importers I knew it was only a matter of time before I snagged one.
SAU has been invaluable in helping me learn about the car and its features, common maintenance items, and modifications. Since these cars will be more and more available in the U.S. over the coming years I think you will see an influx of American members joining to take advantage of the corporate knowledge and lessons learned documented in the site.

Redline Synthetic Oil Change
Transmission fluid flush and replaced with Redline fluid
NGK Spark Plugs
Oil and fuel filters
Differential and transfer case fluids
New eBrake and shift boots
New external window gaskets
Remove CD changer headunit and replace with Pioneer Bluetooth/USB unit
List of things to do in the mid term:
Nismo Side Strakes
Nismo Front Bumper Vents
Wrap the car blue
Nismo 18" LMGT1s
Impul 913 Steering Wheel
Apply marketing to mimic a notable R32 race car ;)

Since these cars will be more and more available in the U.S. over the coming years I think you will see an influx of American members joining to take advantage of the corporate knowledge and lessons learned documented in the site.
I hope so! Be great to have some Northern Hemisphere users on here. Super keen to see how the US market adds its twist to GTR tuning and styling.

Right now I'm having her looked at by professionals to make sure there are no underlying issues. After she gets a clean bill of health I will handle most of the work myself. I installed the big brake kit, supercharger, roll bar, seats, exhaust, and suspension on my M3...mechanical stuff I can do, I keep my mitts off anything electrical or body related.

Wow nice looking car mate. Good luck with all the work planned for it, I hope parts are as easy to import to the US as they are here in Aus!

So far parts have been sparse and very expensive...The guy that imported the car for me makes regular trips to Japan and has been sourcing parts for me but anything large is getting thrown in containers along with cars that he is importing so there is a several month wait time to get the stuff here and there is no guarantee that the dock workers in Los Angeles wont help themselves to the miscellaneous items in the container before it makes it to customs.

Don't wrap it...

It will be a project car meant to be sold within a couple years...wont see a return on investment if I paint it, plus the stock paint is in such good condition! You can always take a wrap off.

Thanks, Vegas is fun when you visit but when you live here you tend to stay away from the strip.

I can't believe R32's still exist in such good condition....like seriously, when I imported one of the first R32 GTR's into Canada 10 years ago it was nice, but not as clean as yours looks!

Thanks! the car has been re-sprayed the original color but the interior is in great shape, I'll take some pics once Im done replacing the things listed in the OP.

me, screw the 34s, stay classy with the 32.

Ill agree with you until the R34s come available in the U.S. :D

    • Evening fam, Pretty much what the title asks, I have looked all over and can’t find a proper answer expect one post from almost a decade ago which is vague. ive seen photos and they look pretty much identical, would an r33 GTR N1 reo work on an r32? reason I ask is they are cheaper to buy… $700 compared to 1k+ for an r32 n1 reo
    • Couldn't help myself, had to start putting it together.... It really is a solid bit of kit.  Probably stronger than i would have made it myself to be fair! 🤣🤣 Sweating like a pig after that.  Bloody hot and muggy day today, time for a swim now!
    • Yeah was thinking that. I've had the car go lower idle possibly around 650rpm every once in a long time after pouring fuel and would sound quite rough like a misfire, almost like it's shit fuel or something but who knows.

Great event last year and hoping for the same this year.    I've emailed them to ask to set a location aside for the Stageas for the show and shine - they are happy to do so if we can get them numbers, I'm happy to keep track of that. Entering as Nismo category.    I'll be road tripping up from Melbourne, would be cool to convey if people are interested, maybe there is SAU convoys from each capital?     • Just buy a bunch of covers off aliexpress, they're like $5 each. Rattle-can them and stick them on as needed/fly off.
