Hey guys

So I'm planning on dropping a rb26 in my space cab b2600 ute but don't know we're to start really like for doing it right and getting it engineered and permitted

This is something Iv been wanting to do now for awhile and since I haven't seen one yet I thought I would do it . Any suggestions on where I should start with my project . I have never built something like this , my previous cars have been r32 gtr's so it's pretty straight forward when modding them but this is new to me .

This might sound dumb but I have full running set up engine box dif but mounting it properly I need some advise lol I am also doing custom coil overs for it

Thanks for reading and hope I can get some good feed back

Thanks for your time

Your keeping the awd?

Then really you would want the gtr suspension as well.

That is a massive job, have a look at the build thread for the A9X torana on here, he is doing the full motor and drivetrain into it and basically transplanting the entire floor from the gtr with all fabbed up suspension mounts to use all gtr parts. He is a fabricator who has worked with custom cars for a long while.

Rb26 in rwd only into your ute would be a much easier task.

Start by measuring the engine bay, trans tunnel etc to see if it will fit or how much more room you need.

Oh and then consider how much of the work you can honestly do yourself, can you do a decent weld? How are you are wiring? And start putting a budget together, new driveshaft perhaps, tub the rear cause your going to need some more rubber at the rear.

Big undertaking

^ this, I was going to put a rb25 det into my navara I had a while back , measured it up and it was to big for the engine bay , unless modifications were made to the firewall, so I went the easier option and put an fj20 turbo in it, was a much easier job!
