yeah the car came with the badges when I bought the car! they have been fiberglassed onto the car ( to stop dickheads from pinching them I believe) I can't see waisting cash on removing and respraying the areas on the car with the badges, that money can be better spent on mods!

Okay, maybe a bad choice of words, It didn't lower the resale value, it just made it less appealing for a trade-in figure.

ie. the dealer gave me the BARE minimum redbook value of it when it came to trade... I too, had a silver dash. Looks tacky most of the time...

and INASNT: Yes, i primed it and clear-coated it (till i floated away on fumes, hehe) it had a nice finish too.

reviving an old thread how did u actually get the silicone off? once u applied the thinner u cant tell me u sat there just scrathching it off?

u r all using the wrong paints, theres a spray paint that u can by, im just trying to find out what its called, u dont have to put clear on it it, its a mat black colour, it makes it look brand new again, i seen it in a r33, he pulled that old stuff off and put about 5 coats of this paint on and it looked unreal

yep just scratch it off takes ages !

But worth it in the end when painted thats for sure!
