Does anyone know more detail about what is required or what the process is in order to have the V36 English conversion done if we are not able to take the car to them in NZ?

Unfortunately for most of us, those people that know how to do the software upgrade are keeping it well and truly secret. If you're not lucky enough to live close enough to one of the select few people that know the secret (and are making the service available for the thick end of $1000-$1500) there seems to be no option to get the conversion done.

Sad but true at this stage.

The guys at Synergy Motorsports Adelaide, on Main North Rd are doing the V36.

I went in today and got my Radio band expander done, and ask them about it. About $2000-$2500.

I went and had alook at one finished. We won't get all options like "no voice activation" "no Carwings"

Thanks for the info Paul, not sure that I'm really that interested at that price, but it's good to know they are apparently doing it here though.. but I would rather bags lol. I know how to navigate through the menus enough to use the features available to us here and Adelaide's not big enough to need a nav system. Kind of like the authenticity of the jap too haha.

Agreed, I have no interest in basterdising the 'Japanese culture' of my V36 Skyline.

With all the resources available, if you can't work it out - then it's not for you.

After road testing the screen mirroring of my phone to the auxiliary input via the Mirrorlink adapter I mentioned before, though it's fuzzy as composite video can be, it's still perfectly usable and so my GPS issue is resolved. Love the Japanese feel of this car.

They remove the parts they need then send them away to be converted. you can keep driving your car.

Replace the cluster. I heard the ones from Canada have the Km dial

Has anybody tried replacing the navi unit with an Android based alternative?  I have seen several product which claim to have the correct plugs and adapters for Nissans, and appear to have all the required inputs and outputs.  For $300 to $400 it seems this would be a great alternative as maps and other apps would be so simple to install.
