air filter cleaning

just after simple advise on what method i should use to clean my standard air box filter which is K&N washable one..as its fairly grotty

I'd appreciate that info too. I've go a pod style K&N filter but I didn't buy it so I don't have any instructions

Cleaning recharge kit for flat panel re-usable filters -

Suitable for all brands of wet oil type reusable filter systems

autobarn, supercheap, repco, auto1 should have these

dishwashing liquid and water in a spray pump bottle to clean it. let it sit for 10mins with the detergent on it then wash off with clean water. let dry for a few hours (never use compressed air) and lightly re-oil. get the k&n oil from autobarn or any of the abovementioned store in the previous post. i have seen no-name brand oil in a spray can but dont know where to get it.

can the K&N oil be used on a HKS Pod? or do pods need different stuff

im pretty sure air filter oil is universal. i use the k&n oil on my cheap-ass $30 pod, cleaned it many times and its all good.
