Gave the bay a quick degrease and clean and moved the wiring out into the guard to help protect it from the heat FC989980-B9BF-46E1-B3B2-E5B4EB911588.thumb.jpeg.fb8d61cf2fce6c95991419d850439145.jpegI’m going to strip the harness and move the abs plug back into the bay and completely remove the wires that are no long being used (air flow meters and etc)56032D25-44DC-4610-AF15-892823C78FC3.thumb.jpeg.a92db8e30908221ba845b8a29de4fd6a.jpegand then after fitting and removing the manifold and turbo countless times getting the oil feed and drain hoses to a point where I was finally happy it’s all sitting in there and ready to start 352C6DC2-6D8F-4F65-A775-2779EFA12E86.thumb.jpeg.72b9d41934375ef0f8981af7c7ab54bf.jpegstill a few things to button up before I can send it for the custom work but hopefully not to far away ?

I think I've put two and two together and figured out your the Brett that used to work at this mechanic shop near Blacktown and did a clutch on my old white R33 back probably 2008 and I dropped off a slab afterwards.

Yep that would be me, there were times I wondered if that was your 33 and then I saw the photos of a blue one and figured I was wrong

That old S2 1998 is long gone, probably wrapped around a pole or tree :(

So had a bit of a scare and thought the head gasket might have let go and I just hadn’t noticed. Finally sealed up the open ports on the cooling system and pulled the plugs out and pressure tested the cooling system.

turned out to be a false alarm and everything is good to go, have ordered the mufflers for it and should have them in the coming days

also ordered a few non engine related bits

I think you missed some updates.

This went from "turbo is sitting on a manifold needing custom parts" to "I thought I blew the head gasket"

How?! Ha ha

When I pulled the exhaust off there was beads of water all through it and then when i started the car to check for leaks it blew water out the back of the turbo. But turned out to be excessive condensation

Need to remember this is a stock engine with a factory head gasket and some head studs thrown in, I have no idea what the limit is going to be and it’s always in the back of my mind.

tacked the gates on to make sure they clear everything and roofed the manifold again to have them completely welded

Do you happen to know if the Frenchys people have an email address or anything old fashioned like a phone so I can speak to somebody about thei CAS trigger?  Just that their contacts page is blank.
