Sent the rocker cover out to craved coatings and got it done to match the rest of them am going to uncover the writing on it due to the candy looking different there compared to the rest

I haven't put them side by side yet but it looks really close, that fact he did them before should mean they're fine

Did some work on it over the weekend, fist pulled the timing belt off and inlet cam cover off

inket cam out 

and new cam in for clearence measuring

6 of the clearances are out of spec and the shims have been ordered and should hopefully be here in the next couple of days

Parts are back from ceramic coating i also bought plugs for the original oxygen sensors because I no longer use them and they will just be in the way when installing the turbos

Had a couple of hours over the weekend to work on itthe shims had arrived a few days before an i fitted them, checked the clearances were spot on

then moved onto the cam gears and timing belt

Today I had some time to play with the car and i continued with the vcam, I didn't like the lettering being covered on the rocker cover and started by taping it up

I then grabbed a die grander with basically a scotch bright pad on it and attacked the powder coat halfway done

powder coat gone and then I ran another pad over it to give it a machined look 

and the finished product

Then got to fitting it to the engine here it is fitted to the engine

this comes with the kit and of corse is the reason the kits costs so much lol

and with all the sensors and oil cap fitted,

Then fitted the timing coversthe center cover is on there temporarily just to see what it looks like cause I still need to wire it to the ecu and run the oil line

Had some time today so I decided to spend it playing with the car finally unwrapped all the parts I got ceramic coated, it's a shame you won't see them once they're installed

And finally the turbos can start going on, some people will be a bit disappointed but I'm staying twins (that was never a secret) and they are nothing specialjust a basic set of -5s with very low kms that I got for a price way to good to pass up
