Ok so this morning started the car and the cel came up!!! Checked the codes I have codes. P0320, p0235, p0805.

Code p0235 I assume I cause I have discovered the stock boost sensor so not fussed about that. But p0805 I can't find in the list as it stops at p0804 and p0320 is distributor/ignition malfunction. Should I be looking at the coil packs in relation to p0320? And anyone now what p0805 could be? Car seem to drive fine but I could be testing my luck driving it more if it's gonna do damage till I sort these out. So help a bro out gents. [emoji106]

Yeah using the flashing MIL to read the codes!! Noticed a bit of oily residue around the left side coilpacks last night I'll pull them out and check the wells and plugs in my day of.... It intermittently runs with a miss which I would say is due to this ignition code I'm getting. Sounds like a subie when it does! [emoji19]

It won't be the plug wells, mine were full of oil when I bought the car, and I didn't know about it for months, I only found it due to the oil burning on the turbo and shitting me.

I have a Stagea here atm with a similar problem, I unplug and plug the coils in and they work fine for a day. I suspect the connector has a bad contact, or the wiring is faulty but still to find the issue. Worst case I am about to fit an emanage, so I can replace the entire coil loom fairly easily, the plugs are not hard to find.

Intermittent problems can be hard sometimes.

Ok cheers Scott so I should look around the wiring loom for the coilpacks for any frayed connections or split wires and also maybe clean out the coilpack plugs with some contact cleaner? I'll find a shop that has a consult III to help track it down but I suspect it will come up with ignition coilpack fault still..[emoji19]

I hate trying to fix intermittent issues as it seems they always go into hiding when your trying to show the mechanic the issue ! [emoji21]

Cheers Dale I'll get it diagnosed it MRC and see what happens from there. Crank angle sensors are cheep on flebay!!

Have you slid underneath and whipped out the one next to the starter motor?

It's easily accessible (only need a 10mm spanner), and it might be worth giving it a clean; as they can built up ferrous metal particles on the sensing face.

Just disconnect it all together and see what happens.

The ecu goes to the backup cam sensors to make the motor run. Often you'll have a coughing hard to start car with the Crank plugged in, and it will start right up when it's unplugged.

And as Dale said, they attract metal, and start giving whack readings.

Who knows, we are all playing internet mechanic!

Not going to cost any money unplugging a sensor and taking it for a spin to see if the problem is there.

Otherwise, get the codes cleared, drive car a couple of days, get it scanned again to see what comes back.

Yeah internet mechanic sometime leave me more confused but it give me some insight from you blokes that are a lot more knowledgable than me in this field. I'll take a crake at your suggestions and see how it goes! I tried to clear the codes but they won't seem to clear as they normally have buy performing the cel check sequence and then hold for 10 second to clear they just stay there this time. But guess I need them cleared via the consult for these codes

Nm35 Error code p1320.....

Anyone had this code come up before? Seems to be related to ignition signal or crank position sensor.

Going to check all cool packs tomorrow. But if anyone else has any experience diagnosing this code your help would be appreciated.

Yea just recently fixed the same issue 2 weeks ago. Depending on it the cars showing an issue makes it easier to diagnose (mine was running rough) so i started checking resistances of coilpacks and found no 4 stuffed. But your right it can be the crank angle or a few other things... Unfortunately just have to start testing things with a multimeter...

Seems to just relate to a stuffed coil, no idea why you would suspect the crank sensor. This is why fault finding without the consult is hit and miss sometimes.

Try measuring the primary coil resistance, the ecu is seeing one is shorting or open circuit.
