Gtr Not The Same 4 Wheel Drive

Hi guys i have a gts4 with a full gtr gear box swap in it. The problem that im have is it isnt gripping in the front wheels like another box i had in there was graping (front wheels) prior to this one.

Is it possible that it needs to bleed up more. I bleed up until i saw no air, but this was from the back of the box and i know theres another spot by the motor on top the diff. Do you guys think this would cause a problem.?

Next is it possible to rebuild the transfer case as i dont mind doing it. Do you guys know of any threads here that has a step by step rebuild procedure just as a reference to follow.

Also whats the best place to find the replacement disks for the transfer case.

Hmm. I searched all over cant seem to find a good thread. I have 2 transfer case and was wondering if i can use two or stock the clutch disks more than normal. ??

Which attesa computer are you using? G sensors?

Do you have a gauge and is it showing torque being sent to the front etc?

If not, likely bleeding issue - seems the most common.

But yeah, if you haven't got the g sensors right (or even if they are not working) that can also cause it

Well all the electronics stayed the same all i did was change the gear box. Today i bleed both spots on the pump and the actuator on the rear of the transfer case. I have two different tires on the front. I ordered 4 of the same tires and will test it after they arrive. Last time i had all the same tires on the stock wheels and it seemed way more aggressive. I am noticing the gauge moving, its just not moving as much as last time. If the g sensor is disconnected wont the 4wd light come on. Thanks for the reminder. Ill check that cause i did have some of the wire disconnected to remove the torque split controller. Cant remember if it was plugged back up. I would figure the 4wd light would come on if that was disconnected???? The car i took the box out of only had 84k on the clock anf was always stock not even a boost controller in it.

GTS4 and GTR do not have the same ATTESA electronics. Not same.

I can understand that. But i had the car set up the same way before the accident. Well just to add im using all the gts4 electronics. The only thing i can think of is i used the front suspension off the gtr because the gts4 wheel bearings were damaged. I would guess the front speed sensors are the same. As the drive shafts were.the same. Thats about the only electronics that was changed. I used the complete front suspension from the r32 gtr.

This why i was looking all over for a thread on the transfer case because i have 2 more and was wondering if i can stack another friction plate in there. I dont see it to hard to do.

I just cant find hard evidence of if its possible and what the results would be like.

Well yes, "sticking an extra friction plate in there" is essentially how you modify them for more front torque, just like tightening up the mechanical diffs.

I suspect there is a little more to it than just throwing an extra plate in as far as getting measuring and getting the right amount of forward drive without locking it up all the time, but if you understand how much extra you need then go for it!

If you look up the manual there is supposed to be a certain amount of clearance (for want of a better word) beyond the last plate. You measure this and shim the clutch pack to suit. A worn pack will have grater than acceptable clearance - the result is that the attessa system doesn't function properly because there is not enough force on the friction plates. The system displays the output on the dash - the output of the pump basically, not the torque output - it is too stupid to realise the clutch pack is worn. End result is the gauge wont help you diagnose a worn clutch pack, only a vernier will.
