Do a search of the forum, I can't remember exactly but there were issues about them not being fitted correctly and killing engines from spun bearings due to oil starvation.

I think it was caused by the wrong oil filter thread into the block. If it's going into an RB26 I think you might need to change to a different threaded stud to mount the rellocation to as the RB26 has the oil cooler/warmer as standard.

Someone please clarify this though as I can't entirely recollect what it was caused by.

It's not a stupid question. Something as important as your oil supply to your engine is worth asking a few questions!
