yeah.. i was driving that grey skyline with misfire..... i need dyno turn for my baby..

for the White GTR... he's like the king of all track day...slick tyres with AP 6 Pots calipers and 330mm brake disc.... he have beaten all the wrx that day.. you will see him in all the track day..( I saw him when i went to Calder last time) but he was beaten comfortably by another white GTR.. with huge GT wings..

The WRX club is well organised.. and they offer discount on some performance parts.. not a bad idea to join them. ..

look forward to see more skylines on track...

Yeah the white one with the Big GT Wing is Ben. I havent seen him beaten yet - not even close.

But one day..... (who am I kidding! LOL)

Hey snowman , their are a few quick white GTR's but the one at sandown is owned by frank and he attends pretty much all our meetings . His car has been developed over 2 years and is usually the quickest on the power tracks but the twistie track ( winton) the rexes are right their.

Franks a bit of a character and hasnt heard of the word "lift off" as that GTR is always pointing in a wrong direction , its got around the 320 rwkw at its disposel and its taken a few blow ups to get it reliable. If you guys need to know whats involved in getting the 33 GTR race ready and reliable have a chat to him .

adam

ps dont forget your bank book cause these arent cheap cars to maintain .

lol at 46n2, look at us making plans when we dont even have cars on the road :P

hmmm... means i need to get my car down to around 1220kgs to have a chance of keeping up with any of the GTRs

Anyone got a holesaw and angle grinder i can borrow ;)

His last outing at Calder was under a minute. That is fast.

On a rice note, I had a latish model Honda CRX or somethinig tell me he does 1:02 with no stickies and just the zorst done. Sure it's vtec but that sound like crap, and I told him so and to produce the results........

Sorry - Bens last outting was the Jag day at Calder. I know of plenty of quick white R33's but only Ben has the massive GT Wing (off a V8 Supercar). And I know his last outting was a 59s around Calder so just guessed it was him.

LOL yeah but aim high and we'll get there :)

Heh...maybe an R32 Convertible with an RB26 inside ;) nah it won't come to that, we'll just swap all your panel out for CF jobbies...heh in some fantasy world maybe :D

:D

    • Oh, there's also the gearbox crossmember which will probably be different between the small box and the big box, and the wiring loom will probably need to be modified, because the plugs for the switches etc, will probably be different. And I think the speedo on the small box R34s is from somwhere stupid, like the diff, possibly, so you'd need to work out what needs to be done about that (assuming it is different). I think the thing you need to realise is that the front end of that yoke is a large hollow tube with splines on the inside that mates with the splines on the box's output shaft. It is a dedicated thing - not available "aftermarket". They were made to suit that box, by the car's OEM.
    • You need to buy a Saab Matt, ours had a button that turned all the dash lights off. Any decent aftermarket dash has sufficient brightness control and a headlight input for day/night settings. None of which probably helps OP
    • Yeah thanks...i thought it would be alot more i dont know 😄 I saw some videos on converting push/pull and it seems you need to "drill" the hole for slave(master) cylinder and buy some converter kit. On that front yoke clip i did not even know that is a thing and i need to source that(custom shops do not do that?) But anyway thank you for the info
    • Not the headlight. It's the DRL that serves double duty as white and amber. Would be the easiest way to make it happen, if fitting a BCM was in any way an easy thing. Otherwise you'd do it with some relay logic and/or maybe some diodes.
    • Would require a very smart body control module which these cars are about 20 years to old to have
