"Yarra Trams said its offer of a 9 per cent pay rise over three years was fair and in line with community expectations.

Tram drivers at Yarra Trams are the highest paid in Australia, earning more than $91,000 a year on average, the company said. Authorised officers earned an average wage of more than $89,000 in 2014-15."

I love it when the universe speaks to me... "You need to pee" or "you've had enough Tim tams"

Got an email from the bosses son / micro manager from the NY office.

How to respond, if I want to stay & show loyalty, but make them realise that a pay rise or similar would be needed to lock me down?

Got my NOA from the ATO, but the money isn't in my account yet... Could've sworn the NOA always came after the money was in the account.

Yeah usually get the refund about a week before the NOA comes through the mail

inb4 entered wrong bank account

Wow good work!

Do you know the turnover and what the profit levels of the business are? If so it can help ''determine" if they can afford to give you a pay rise.

That and it seems as they you are a valued employee. So it is unlikely they would refuse?

Want to put in a line at the bottom saying something like "I would like to stay on with the team, however I needed to look into what options are out there for someone with my skillset."

Told ya the ball is in your court - these guys need you - the benefits of proprietary coding, a technical knowledge asset and no easy replacement make for an invaluable employee that can within reason bring the company to it's knees. It's pocket aces.

However now is the time to be respectful...and to properly ask yourself if you want to stay there and if two changes, 1. A payrise/promotion and 2. An assistant (such as Leigh) would improve your working conditions and satisfaction.

If this is the case, as far as wording goes, I would say that you want to stay, but with the increased workload over time (therefore increased stresses) combined with the want to advance in your career path (you are 30 or nearly 30) has led you to review your options, but if they are willing to come to the table to address these two issues then you see no reason you can't remain with the company long term.

Something along those lines. Or you can keep playing coy, dismiss it as more workplace gossip. But it really does sound like they need you and are considering an assistant for you anyway - cheaper and easier to do this and a payrise than to get someone else in. You'll need to be clear about your intentions sooner or later as they will start to get annoyed after a while.

Sorta need a summary line after your 3 key points.

Your bottom line would be more so happy to stay with the team if you were happy with your remuneration and future growth of your role

Translation: Kate is an alcoholic victim of her step dad's child abuse who stumbles home from seedy bars slurring Def Leopard and Poison songs hoping to be taken advantage of / raped by homeless men just so she can feel sentient touch outside if her many cats.

She believes that good things come to those who don't work for them and expects the world on a silver platter, that one day she will be pretty-womaned out of her shithole existence. Good luck, Kate.

    • Sounds like it may all just be some baseless outrage stoked by the carexplore guy? As in the linked social media outrage on facebook just goes back to carexplore as a source again. Further shown by the council response that nothing actually has changed: "The Private Land Use Permit has been part of the Casey Community Local Law for a number of years. It's important to clarify that this permit is not new, and no changes have been made to the permit or the Local Law in relation to the permit." The full council response in Prank's link sounds reasonable to me. Saying that as someone who neither lives there nor has a front yard to call their own
    • Clutch hydraulics are also all good, looks like a brand new slave cylinder and everything bled up well. No idea what the actual clutch is, and I don't intend to pull the box off on the floor to find out, so unless we have trouble on the dyno or at shakedown that will remain a mystery for the new owner
    • Front brakes are G4 8 pot calipers over 330mm discs with braided lines. Everything looks good, pretty sure these are off my old 350. Pads are brand new and judging from gold colour are Winmax which is what I also run on my race car, Neil and I both sourced brake stuff from Matty at Racebrakes Sydney who really knows his stuff Everything has bled up nicely with all new Motul RBF600 fluid, there were 2 loose hard line connections and the calipers were new on the car so I ended up doing it 3 times but it is perfect now
    • So, starting with the rear brakes. They look like standard R33 GTST, and will need new pads shortly (less than 5mm material, probably only 1 day left). The slotted discs (probably DBA) are near new at 18.01mm and the lines are braided
