As long as the second hand quality tyre has majority of its tread left why would it be better than a brand new cheap set?

You wont get the same lifespan out of the second hand set but you will have much better handling instead. & with our cars setup for traffic light runs & tourist road runs rather than efficient running costs I would prefer the quality second hand set.

However Im rolling on the ATR's which came with the rims so yeah...

week/year of manufacture I think he was meaning

all tyres I've used are pretty useless until warmed up i've come to that realization, so just do a powerskid in 2nd before racing anything worthy

also feel like an f1 driver having to manage my un-intercooled intake temps on the hotter racewars nights :P

2nd gear and every tooth of the cluster gone with it

Too much power or a big clutch dump / hard change into 2nd will do that

Condition of box doesn't really matter too much, especially as you can't really see inside them or judge just by looking at their guts - simply need stronger/wider/flatter gears

People used to bring me that^ and try to claim warranty after tracking it or putting 400kw through it
