yeah, they're good stuff - was the first mod I did to it 4 years ago and still going strong.

BCs on my GTR started knocking after like 10 months

i know someone that had teins on his FG and bent the lower mount where it joins to the hub bit..

Hahaha yeah no, don't do this.

Why not?

In all my internets, I have yet to see any product ever reviewed better than Shockworks suspension on Fords

Maybe its cause Fords handle uh, interestingly from the factory, or its Ford owners not expecting such a result.

But seriously, people act like they're the second coming of Christ, people fapping over Racepace built whatever comes nothing to the amount of praise that I read regarding these things on fords

While you are correct, all the praise I've seen are from dudes who own S13s or AE86s or similar on chopped springs so it's a HUGE upgrade for them, same story with the Fords. I'm yet to be impressed by a set yet, always been a let down unfortunately. That's not to say that cars can't be transformed with Shockworks coilovers, I just don't think they deserve the massive following that the drifters rant on about, in my experience anyway.

True, I was just always curious what would happen if someone put some serious thought into making a XR6T or GS actually handle, with some track oriented suspension.

Like a Supra (which CAN HANDLE, there's vids of people doing John Richardsonesque times at Winton in them) I wonder if its a "Culture of ford owner" problem instead of the car itself, cause noone's really given it a big try.

As for Shockworks, heard different things about them. Housemate has a set in his S15 and every person who's ever been in it pretty much reckons they are the shit. (these are not drift spec mind you). I doubt really there's a 6 second a lap difference between Shockworks and MCA and Tien's and Cusco and BC's mind you, probably relies a lot more on the dude sitting in the seat than the specific brand of coilover chosen once you have any of the more highly regarded sets

I'd say reasonably, he's got a quite a few engines on the cards. I'd imagine he could do it sometime next week or the following though.

No rush on it, just need a touch up tune sometime.

It absolutely is a culture thing, people don't usually buy them with the intention of tracking.. just quick street cars.

This is what you CAN do to them once it's intercooled (mods I listed before) with the right track pads / suspension

He came first in his class and 7th overall out of 120 cars @ Sandown 1:25 in the vid

btw he runs shockworks too so they must be arlight..
