Nope, stored in a garage for 25years.
New exhaust new clutch. Cranked, but old fuel and old carbies not gonna make it easy to start.
I'll reassemble the interior as it wasn't put back together after clutch replacement plus some shifter/gearbox bushes replaced.

That's pretty standard with British cars anyway.

hahaha factory panel gaps.

Everyone else gets to find cool Barn-find cars, or buy S15's for $300 and replace the TPS then sell for $12k. When will I ever get a chance :(

Just needs a new MAF, thats all.

I acutally like these

old english cars are cool, if not reliablie

has pop up headlights that make any car cool

and still in the era that you can work on them yourselves and if don;t care about concurs be able to replace with some more modern gear that works.

New jerb and you're back in business of jet-setting?

something like that.

I'm still going to be traveling but it will cut back from where I was at.

the next few months will be busy with the due diligence with the buy out announcement.

I'm hoping for an around 50% drop in travel.

man, thats nasty. living out of a bag aint much fun.

Shannon's telling me the TR7 is highly collectible and more valuable with the original 2L instead of a V8 conversion. Shannons have no history of selling one at auction.

Bidding starts at $25,000 for mine FYI.

I am as it is, with having to move out of the rental, you would almost call it couch surfing.

depending on time staying at my folks, katie's mum,  hotels for work plus Katie's sister's and was house sitting for a couple weeks in Oak Park.

Bangladesh will be first time done more than 7 nights in a row in one bed since march.

hoping to get a few weekends in a row home after the move as we ahve started buying trees and planting seeds in prep for the move, so would be good to get started on it

Ofcourse I get messages once my car is returned to stock "bro why has your ad pictures changed, i was going to make you an offer"

Yet when it was modified people come look "bro it's a bit low for my liking"

    • Breather for it. If it's anything like the GTRs it should run up to the top of a bellhousing bolt.
    • What basics? With these OBD1 ECUs it's not like the ECU will give you any real clues, it's not really doing any sanity checking of sensors/sensor data. My experience is actually a lot of sensors tend to be the source of the issue first and foremost, and checking everything gives you a direction to investigate. MAF/O2/STFT/LTFT should all kind of make sense. You can try little tricks of the trade like tapping the MAFs to see if it triggers a stumble, things like that. But once you've done a compression test knowing whether you have an air leak or fuel delivery problem is kind of hard to narrow down without sensor data. And you don't really know if all your sensors are making sense unless you can interrogate the ECU directly about what it's seeing for sensor data.
    • Absolutely this. Yes, except not vacuum hose. Something oil/fuel safe is a better idea.
    • Like a Stagea, but not as cool! Hope you have enough garage space for this, or is something going to leave to make way for it?
    • The new project has arrived. I have wanted one of these for such a long time, well before that meathead Clarkson drove one in Africa. I really wanted an E34 but I have some medical issues that mean I *really* can't bump my head and the lack of airbags in the E34 made it just too big of a risk.  I don't know why I've always liked these older touring BMW's to be honest, but man I love this car. She's been pretty well maintained for her 243k's with what appears to be only a single oil leak at the oil filter housing gasket. It has a bunch of updates including later model bumper and headlights, 7 series billion-way adjustable seats and it came with a few spares and another set of wheels with legal tyres. I got a unregistered car permit from the RTA and drove it back from Canberra on Saturday.                   First cab off the rank is cleaning it up for blue slip. I dont know how picky they'll be but I figured I'd clean the headlights, fix the oil filter housing gasket, replace the speed sensors (throwing errors) and swap the OE wheels (the M Sport wheels have a big chunk out of one of the tyres.) I also need to replace all 6 gas struts - 2 for bonnet, 2 for hatch and 2 for hatch glass. The car tries to eat me whenever i open any of these. My plan for this car; Ultimately, this is a budget car. I can't afford to throw lots at it and its because I have another car that I got this, if something breaks its no big deal. I will just maintain and repair it really. But eventually I want to do a manual conversion. It actually looks pretty straight forward for E39's and the trickiest part will be sourcing the parts.  I do need to replace some suspension arms or bushes because wow, she's a floaty old girl. She's also fantastically slow. Like really, really slow. When pulling back out on to the freeway on Sat after a quick pull over I needed to wait until no cars were visible before going.  Oh, and the guy I bought it from had a gorgeous R31 GTS-X in the garage.
