What pump are you running that the stock fuel pump wiring wasn't doing the job? Is the RB20 wiring different to the RB25?

Walbro 460Ltr - need to wire in the direct 12v with relay thingo. The standard fuel pump control module couldn't provide enough current.

I spose the fact that this has only been documented on SAU 11ty billion times and not 11ty billion and 1 explains why you didn't just do it properly the first time :P

Pretty sure my brother went through 2 or 3 040's and changed to Walbro with no such issue? dunno. e85 lyf.

Pat gotta feel good driving it again I'm guessing, must be an animal with an RB25 in it now.

The 465's will mangle the stock wiring, almost need to just direct wire it and bypass all the nissan stuff.

Used about 185L of fuel to get to Winton and do a track day and get back. The auto is not 'that bad' at cruising, maybe 400L for a tank but driving around town with my 5 minute commute to work just annihilates fuel. I drive like a grandpa so I am almost always in the converter (i.e under 3k rpm)

Couldn't run more than 10psi of boost due to wild breakdown of spark, and rotors ended up looking like the below, (yeah the vanes are supposed to go much further...) but had a great time for first time out at Winton :P

Well not so much worn down as worn completely through and past where they would normally stop.. other rotor looked much the same. Only noticed due to the sound of grinding on the drive home lol.

Would recommend, mainly because you know they won't fall apart under normal circumstances!

Speaking of brakes, checked out the 2018 STI over the weekend at the dealership, was froffin at the mouth when I saw the new for 2018 model's bright green 6 pot brembos, looked so good against the WR blue colour.

I'm surprised it limits the current available... Usually things draw whatever current they want but melt or destroy whatever it is its going through (if not rated for the task)

The fuel pump resistor was burning hot. We bypassed it but still can't provide enough current.

I'm running in new engine below 4000rpm so no massive draw on fuel pump atm

Effortless power in the Neo rb25. Can't wait to dial in 25psi

    • All I can say Duncan is good luck and I hope that Neil did not run any E85 in Cheryl. I have recently experienced the full spectrum of fuel tank issues in my R33's that had been caused by E85 and contaminated fuel. When you take the cover off the top of the tank and have a look inside you will get an understanding of how easy it will be. Best case situation is clean fuel with minimal contamination. My GTR was like this and it was a very simple operation to just grab the fuel pump carrier bracket and slide it up and out of the tank. My three GTS_T's had different levels of fuel contamination that was probably caused by E85 in the fuel.  In the worst case all of the metal components in the tank had rusted to the point where there were pieces of rusted metal swirling around in the tank. This required the removal of the exhaust, the tailshaft, the complete rear cradle and the fuel tank. The components in the tank were that rusted that it took days to get the fuel pump carrier and the mounting brackets out of the tank. When the tank was finally cleaned, everything inside the tank had to be replaced. With the tank all back together I could then reinstall it in the car along with everything else that had to come out. Good luck and I hope that you find a clean tank.
    • It is a two door. It is black and also still has the OEM wheels and stereo. Exact model would be KR_R32RGFEL_SS According to GTR-Registry.com is a 2 Door Coupe; RB20DE; 2WD no HICAS; MT.F5; (11L) Projector Headlamps and Fog Lights; (12_) Electronic Active Full Auto Air Con (Climate Control); (13-14SS) V Selection -- Which seems to be accurate description of my variant. Will try to upload a few pictures soon. The OEM wheels look like the below image. Image is taken from the goo-net-exchange website.

    • Welcome Gabriel. At least your car has a glorious RB and not the shitty CA18. As MBS206 mentioned all the good bits can be added later. Two doors or four?
    • And half of them have been converted to turbos.
