1 in 8 sounds false.

But look at all the footy players. Same thing. A dealer can make a lot of money if he infiltrates a local footy team. "The boys" will all jump on board if everyone else is having fun and no ones girlfriends are around.

Once i stopped to get fish and chips at some seedy street few blocks from Dandenong. Legit 2 people standing next to the milk bar with brown paper bags. One was african the other wasnt. Looked like a f**king scene from The Wire. Id never seen anything like it (outside of north richmond)

Did they have a testing van outside a festival

or are there really this many people on drugs these days??

http://www.news.com.au/national/breaking-news/1-in-8-vic-drivers-test-positive-for-drugs/news-story/cd589e5b2b12f1cef887b09914be42b1

I've been booze bussed and or breatho'd dozens of times, as have most people who drive on the road.

I have never once been drug tested, because I don't look like a druggie... So it's probably 1 in 8 that they have profiled as suspicious and initiated a test (which takes 15-20 minutes to complete IIRC)... In which case 1/8th isn't actually that high, if you look like a druggie, you've probably done something in the past few days that will be detectable.

They should have set up a drug bus to test people leaving Bluesfest in Byron Bay, that'd be a laugh... But they wouldn't have room to put all the cars.

OK that's interesting.

Not gone through a Booze bus for more than 8 years

(had the random cop on the side of the road but not the whole booze/drugs bust for years)

I assumed that every-one got tested just like for drink and it was a near instant thing.

So 3-5 minute apparently.

So yeah if they are targeting then that would impact the results in a huge way. so 1 in 8 is probably a very low number then.

Feeling better now.

got random drug tested on stud rd earlier in the year, they pull in 5-8 cars, everyone sits there for 5-10mins waiting for results... 2 million cars pass by. Luck of the draw really.

In my suburb there is a 1 in 8 chance of finding someone sober or not on methodone. The police generally stay away as if they ever cracked down on it, there would simply be no population left. The town runs itself anyway, sort of like a Walking Dead scenario.

UNIVERSITY graduates may have to start paying their loans back sooner after a report revealed many students will never earn an income high enough to repay their HELP debts.

hahahaha

How are schools going to sell that uni is the right choice now?

Edited by UNR33L

I don't think many are jumping at uni courses with $$$$ in their eyes. Graduate pay rates are pretty well known to be horrible and it's widely accepted that you're going to be doing it tough for a few years proving yourself or moving up. Nut many careers in certain industries require a degree, so if you're passionate about that, it can be the "easy" or only way to get into what you want to do.

you'd think there would be an uproar on social media about the government wanting to change how HELP/HECS is paid off, but there isnt. and no one can say shit because its reasonable and legitimate.

I blame KRudd. he wanted 40% of the population to have a degree. and it comes at a cost.

not everyone can or will be paid over $50k a year full-time.

Family member in QLD is a draftsman and has been for over 8 years with only work experience, doesnt have a degree (currently working towards some TAFE thing) yet somehow has become very reputable and has successfully applied for jobs that require a degree. I dont see how that could happen in this age. He must have contacts. His resume would only find the bin if he applied like everyone else, surely.

years of experience make up for a degree, unless you want upper management.

we looking for a lackey for me currently, Degree a must have, ideally some post graduate.

Wonder how he will take getting told what to do by a dropout...

    • Hey everyone!!  I've noticed that whenever I do my oil changes, after putting 4L in, the oil level sits at the top mark in the dipstick. This is after letting the old oil drain for a very long time too! I've checked the oil level daily for the past few mornings. It happens every time and it's confusing because all the threads say that it should take about 4.7L (With some just adding the full 5L) My next thought is to figure out if the dipstick I have is correct so could someone please tell me the length of the RB25DET engine oil dipstick?  I've checked images of some of the genuine dipsticks, but none of them have the length in it. https://justjap.com/products/genuine-nissan-engine-oil-level-dipstick-fits-nissan-r34-skyline-c34-stagea-c35-laurel-y34-cedric-gloria-rb25de-t-neo?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOortQXofgmiHVRKuIaiKuygL4k0Ewp68c3isGZk0vvKOJ7Yqf3iB However.... the engraving on the genuine ones say 05002 while mine says AA000. This makes me believe that maybe I have a wrong dipstick? I just want to confirm before I buy a new one. The car is a fresh import from Japan so I don't have details of the previous owner to ask him. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾
    • Sport. I didn’t rebleed it cause I just removed the slave and left connected.    I will change line and slave and see how it goes.
    • Oh and how is the rattle when foot is on the clutch ?
    • Did you get the sport or track ? From what the documentation says the uniclutch has a small amount of movement to disengage.  So your story of tricky pedal setup seems common.    Hopefully you got it bled up too, as the bite point moving around is usually either plates wearing in or air in the line.
