People seem very happy with the result. What do People stand to gain from this? It doesn't further guarantee a labor win next election (well not yet anyway)

We stand to gain negative Tony Abbott... what more do you need to know?

It makes labors job a hell of a lot harder now

This... Turncoat should be able to carry LNP across the line.

not like he will be struggling anyway..

Love shorten all he can come up with is turnball is arrogant only in it for himself... Mmmm that strategy will get you into office champ.

Agree ham so I'm for it cos I'm a smart enough voter to pick a party not the mouth piece

Shorten was prettty damn stupid to have slammed Turnbull... why on earth would he have shown his hand and who he is more weary of to the LNP as they go in to vote?

Where's all those Liberal followers that were banging on about a Government needing to be stable etc when Labor went through the same thing...

Probably still arguing that a government should be stable?

im sick of fb last night/today. everyone comes out of the woodwork to push for their favourite agendas like tony was the bottleneck holding back everyone from what they wanted.yay climate changed is saved, yay gay marriage is saved, yay womens rights are saved, yay we got to use up all the excess onions in the cupboard.

I see this as a key chance for Liberal to swing a lot of fence sitters over to their side of the playground... Lots of Mid and Lefties blame Abbott for everything wrong with Liberal, so now that he's gone a few key policy changes could make for a dramatic shift towards the Libs.

The only bad part about the spill is they can't use the "Stable Party" line anymore.
