is anyone vane enough to spend that much on a freaking license plate?

erm yes, plenty of people out there are attention seekers

I can think of so many other things I would rather spend the money on... can't others? Weird

:werd:

To be honest, when it comes down to it, the government makes all the money - and who is the real sucker?? *YOU* for paying $xx,xxxx for a bit of metal that costs exactly the same $5 (or less) to make than any other plate out there.

And for those in NSW that have to pay stupid amounts to *rent* their plate.. *no comment*

hey

I wanna sell my number plate "SXCSKY" gold n black style.....but i have no idea what to put it for ..i want $3000 including transfer .. wich i think may be reasonable for the name on the plate...it woud suit one of u guys with a sexy sky....would anyone want it at that price?????? il put it in the the for sale section now if anyone wants it...

I love those plates, I dont think you will have too much of a problem selling them, I know a chick who sold her plates for $5000 it was shitty "s3xual" or something like that.. i know another guy who had his up for $15000 and they were "2amaze" now that is a bad number plate.

I think someone who has the cash and loves there car will buy them.

NSW is a complete ripoff. Cant believe they expect u to pay up to 400 a year an a personalised plate. Even if u get a standard AAA.11A pattern in your own choice eg GTR.34R its about 200 per year.

With rego/blue slip/pink slip/ etc. etc. being 800 - 900 then insurance approx 2000 your looking at almost 3000 per year just to have the right to drive an imported car. And then they expect u to pay rent for your plates. F*%K that! I am quite happy to stick with my random quick pick plate.

U never know I might be able to sell my plates to someone with the initials AOB and was born in 52 for the small price of 3000

    • Hey, guys, I’m hoping I can find answer here. I have already done some searching and asking around but still nothing.    I fitted an IC7 dash in my R32 GTR, and I got everything displaying on the dash except my high beams. I get input voltage and the high beams displaying in the dash when I pull the lever, but not when I fully engage the high beams. I spliced into the Red/Blue Beam+ wire in the black center connector from the cluster, but there is also a black Beam wire I think I need to use as well. The high beams still work. It’s just a matter of getting it to display on the dash.    Has anyone fully wired in their IC7 properly ? I would appreciate any guidance on this.    IMG_8835.mov
    • I buy my wheel cleaner in 4 litre bottles now. Euro brakes are brutal
    • Sounds like it may all just be some baseless outrage stoked by the carexplore guy? As in the linked social media outrage on facebook just goes back to carexplore as a source again. Further shown by the council response that nothing actually has changed: "The Private Land Use Permit has been part of the Casey Community Local Law for a number of years. It's important to clarify that this permit is not new, and no changes have been made to the permit or the Local Law in relation to the permit." The full council response in Prank's link sounds reasonable to me. Saying that as someone who neither lives there nor has a front yard to call their own
    • Clutch hydraulics are also all good, looks like a brand new slave cylinder and everything bled up well. No idea what the actual clutch is, and I don't intend to pull the box off on the floor to find out, so unless we have trouble on the dyno or at shakedown that will remain a mystery for the new owner
    • Front brakes are G4 8 pot calipers over 330mm discs with braided lines. Everything looks good, pretty sure these are off my old 350. Pads are brand new and judging from gold colour are Winmax which is what I also run on my race car, Neil and I both sourced brake stuff from Matty at Racebrakes Sydney who really knows his stuff Everything has bled up nicely with all new Motul RBF600 fluid, there were 2 loose hard line connections and the calipers were new on the car so I ended up doing it 3 times but it is perfect now
