I'm not a mechanic or apprentice or anything, just love playing with cars and i found the rb25 piss easy to work on, you should be fine :)

just make sure you put the coolant hoses under the inlet plenum on correctly because they're a bitch to fix when the engine is back in the car!

Must make sure the machine shop bore your block to the right piston clearances, inspect the crank and get right size bearings, need valve springs and sets for the head. and its good to make some power.
