Hi all.

Nice community you got here.

So here's the deal. My '03 6mt 350gt, 95,000kms (debatable but who knows, it's cosmetically mint and has no gremlins) probably makes 130-150kw atw. Haven't dynoed it yet. But it's not enough, and I want 250 atw, keeping it NA, with switchable economy and performance ecu maps, and a mean sound (motordyne TDX is the perfect tone), capping the spend at about $6k.

Here's what I expect I need:

Cams

Intake

Exhaust - banking on a TDX shipped from the states
Re-map (Uprev?)

Who do I talk to in Melbourne to make this happen?

Cheers

:) you are really going to struggle to get to those sort of numbers NA. Cam, exhaust, intake and tune will never get you anywhere near an extra 100-150KW.

And even if you do throw enough money and work at it to manage those figures (and I mean a whole lot more than $6k), it will never be economical again.

If KW is your goal, sell the V35 and buy an R32-34 GT-R.

Might want to read this and have about 20k in your pocket:

Ah, the old "Double the power for $6000" trick;

Love it.

Bearing in mind that it's taken me at least that to get 80kw out of a turboed VQ; I'm gonna suggest that some serious budget revision is in order.

Oh man, now I'm THAT guy :)

Hate being a noob. Thanks for the info, I have taken it on board and revised my expectations accordingly. I will also make a point of not jumping enthusiastically onto a new board while half cut.

Looks like I'll just go for tone with the exhaust.

Cheers

just do some bolt-ons and enjoy your car. dont have to spend 6k, but wont be 100kw quicker either. response, torque and sound are still enjoyable. try do most of it yourself and you'll learn some things along the way (and know your car inside and out).

I actually read that article a while ago but can't navigate past part one and Google is no help. Maybe I'm blind. Do you have links to the rest of it?

Same challenge but says the car was from Sport Compact Car:

438hp sounds quite pleasant for a streeter.
