Hi guys can you guys help me out. How much am i looking at to turbo a stock N/A 2.5 neo 25gt4

1. Can you guys list me down all the things ill need and how much they will be and also how much installation and tuning will cost

2. Does a turbo kit come with everything Ill need ? or will i have to shop around for each individual part ?

3. Is the N/A 2.5 neo the same as the turbo version in relations to how much boost they can handle before internals need upgrading?

I have around 10k to play with can you guys give me a rough idea of what kind of power I will be looking at after everything is finished?

I will be looking at a bigger turbo then a stock neo version would like to have around 250-300rwk if the stock internals can handle it.

I know I'll be looking at around roughly $2k - 2.5k for a ecu and tuning already so will $7.5k - 8k be enough to get everything all good to go ?

Thanks in Advance.

What you need.

1) a camera (phone will suffice)

2) a computer (phone will also suffice)

3) $50

4) post photos taken from phone or camera onto carsales via computer or phone

5) buy gtt/gtr by utilising phone or computer which has been previously acquired.

For $10k you should be able to buy an RB26 c/w gearbox and ecu (actually a half cut should get you the FMIC etc and if you are lucky the brakes as well.

Then you can update the brakes suspension and tyres.

I have a mate that bought one of these for a track toy, he put an RB26 in but reckons in hindsight he should've gone an RB25/30. You might be able to build a budget one for that around about that sort of money if you don't go for forged internals and all the fancy fruit.

Either that or get an RB25 out of a Stagea - wouldn't advise the 26 route though, too much stuffing about with wiring looms etc.

Neo from stagea. Expect headaches with tons of random shit.

You are asking all the right questions, which means you will come to the conclusion that it is a bad choice.

Walk away - get gtt for rwd with a fancy aftermarket traction control for grip, or go gtr.

Path less travelled for a reason.

I am currently putting a Stagea Neo rb25det into an R34 gt four sedan...

Mainly because I really want a sedan, as well as 4wd.

The guys are right, there are a lot of things that will need to be changed, which you just get included with a GTT or GTR. If you really want to do it you need to swap motors - the stock gt4 Neo motor internals are not up to the task, you need a factory turbo motor.

The only scenario where it MAY be worth it, is as above, you wanted a 4 door 34 (for the shape?), cause R34 GTR is very pricey.

But the smarts is go sailing with a R33 GTR if you can, its just seriously the better option for reasons you don't know until you're like "oh shit why did I f**king do this holy f**k"

There's a lot of debate on these forums about how to approach a lot of different things

When EVERYONE says "sell the car and buy the proper platform" then yeah they're doing it for a reason
