^^^^ lol at all the 'Nismo GT-R' pics...

Here KBNR32, heres a genuine S-Tune Nismo R32 GT-R from the Nismo festival last year (I think this is what you were talking about?):

nismor32.jpg

yeah i got the nismo body kit on my 93 vspec GTR....  mine doesnt have the N1 front bumber with the two air vent things.  Just wanted to see what they did with the nismo graphics over the body. Not saying i would ever put them on my Vspec... just wanted to see 1.

in that pic with the black car. the only non standard bits I can see are the front bar lower lip, rear lip spoiler, side skirts and bonnet lip.

so basically you don't have the front lips. so you have side skirts and a rear lip spoiler? I don't think the "nismo 32GTR" necissarily came with those bits anyway. they are just optional body parts. the pic of a genuine nismo S tune GTR that Justin posted only has the front bonnet lip. none of that other crap and in my opinion looks better for it. To me nothing looks better than a standard R32 GTR. All they need is a nice set of rims... mmm perfect ;)

having said that, each to their own...

Richard

I agree with u about nothing looks better than a standard R32 GTR.

I am not, and have never been 1 for bodykits etc... it takes away from the originality of the car.

Just after seeing that picture of the Nismo R32 GTR above.. with the rocks in the background... i am curious about that lower front bumper lip. It is interesting cause i have never seen it on any GTR in OZ. And if that part is available anywhere for sale.

Thanks for the photo Rezz... its an awsome pic of the R32 Nismo.

There was the original Nismo R32 GTR.. pretty much the same as the N1.. and then in 2000 Nismo made the S-Tune makeing about 400 hp..

The nismo is pretty rare.. around 600 made but the N1 is even more rare about 230 made.. and most of them became race cars..

here are some numbers that I've found..

BNR32

Total Production 43,934 1989 -1994

GT-R 40, 390

Nismo 560

Vspec 1,453

Vspec II 1,303

N1 228

to tell if its a Nismo or not, it should have a Nismo build number on the VIN plate...

Peter from Bodyform in Sydney has got one piece Nismo skirts. They are copies he has designed and made and they are truly awesome and cleaner than the Nismo's could ever be. I have them on my car. PERFECT. I have lost his number though as he has moved shop!!!

They have to be perfect.

I have seen too many side skirts that have warped, cracked etc... as the sideskirt is one of the thinnest and longest pieces of fibreglass therefore is more likely to warp.

How long have you had them? Got any pics for me?

    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
    • Sounds good, we will aim to be there! @The Bogan I'll give you a shout if you are heading up to campbelltown for the meet too.
    • Before I get to the test day, just to finish off the android head unit. This is a demo from car start up....the standard/host system takes a few seconds to boot (same as all v37) but Android comes up quickly. In this vid I'm using the delivered launcher but have set the default to Agami since which is easier to navigate when if use primarily 5 apps. You can see the host system still takes over when required eg putting it in reverse, and you can switch between Android and not by holding the back button 3 sec. It is pretty responsive (fast) but you can see I had to press harder than expected a couple of times.  I still have the phone connected to the stock system, and that also seamlessly takes over Android music playing. v37-android-demo.mp4 The bigger reason that I put this in though is so that I can use Ecutek directly on the head unit. That gives me a dash with logging (up to 20MB only), high and low value warnings on any parameter etc etc. I've run a USB cable from the Ecutek OBD dongle to a USB input on the unit, easy. v37-ecutek-demo.mp4   The unit did freeze on the launcher the other day, I think Agami was trying to verify the license when it didn't have a data connection...will monitor and report back if there are any other problems but so far I'm very happy with the upgrade.
    • Nah that is just crappy GPS mapping, I did have a small excursion (cold tyres, damp track, surprise!), will post up that when I get a chance.
