So I have a 1996 Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-25T with the RB25DET engine and I have been trying to find a high output alternator that puts out 150+ amps. I have found a few from a company that has been deemed to be untrustworthy (BNR parts) due to thier horrible track record of failed parts and unrealistic claims. I have heard that the nissan quest 99-03 fits with minor mods but I have been struggling to even find alternators that fall under that criteria (Have found one at 200A but the price is rediculous).

Do any of you happen to know where to find a decent quality alternator for the Skyline that offers 150+ amps?

For those wondering, the main reason is going to be for audio upgrades but it is also going to be a requirement to upgrade my fuel system and ECU.

Thank you for any help

Deep cycle AGM battery is going to be a lot easier to find than a niche alternator.

Deep cycle will handle discharge better when the car's not running

AGM will provide very low resistance which means faster charging when the car is on and better performance for audio.

Upgrade your cables between the alternator and battery to squeeze a bit more power out of it if you want to.

Standard alternator is what, 60 amps? That's 800 watts of charging power. Should be plenty.
