V35 Transmission Swap Issue

Hi guys,

I just did a transmission swap with an 05 350z 5spd auto RE5R05A. Was performed by a trans specialist. All went well with the swap except now the car drives really sluggishly. Does anyone know what the issue is? Is this ECU related? Mine is an 04 V35 sedan series 2 with the same part number transmission.

Anyone have any ideas or point me in the right direction would be much appreciated!

I'm not hugely cluey when it comes to this sort of stuff (still elarning) but one thing that comes to mind is maybe your previous transmission had a shift kit in it and the one you swapped into it doesn't. I know a lot of people with autos seem to do it as it's a good bang for buck upgrade. Just a thought.

Thanks but nah this car was stock standard when I bought it 8 years ago. When I say sluggish it's almost like it's in limp mode taking probably 20 secs from 0-100!

It's likely in limp mode then. Get it scanned and take it back to them?

Which stall converter did you use?
