R34 Gtr Rb26 Idle Issue .. Help!

Hi guys,

Just after some help for my r34 gtr..

It was fine last time I drove it and has been parked in my shed for the past 3.5 months while I have been working away. Today is the first time I have driven it since and it started all fine, drove it for over an hour all good, washed it at the car wash and as I was parking it up to shammy it dry it was hunting up and down almost to stall from 950rpm-609rpm (power Fc). I have since driven it home and all was fine when driving, only at idle it does it.

I put the a/c on the problem goes away and I turned the a/c back off and the problem was fixed for awhile i turned the car back on and the problem was there again.. so I decided to clean my z32 Afm's and no difference in the idle.

Could it be stale fuel causing this problem?

UPDATE.

Started it this morning running fine when cold.

Possible coolent temp sensor issue?

Any help on this would be appreciated.

I had similar symptoms before my fuel pump died. Any other random richness when driving?

It's only a brand new fuel Walbro 255l pump installed by my tuner 5 months ago

I hope it's not the pump.. But then again it has been sitting for a while..

Not really running overly rich I would just say normal

With a PFC there's often a problem with the hot start and not with the cold start.

It tends to happen when the car has been standing for at least half an hour to a couple of hours after a run. It can take a few seconds after hot starting for the PFC to catch on.

Your tuner might just adjust the idle for you within the narrow boundaries of what a PFC will permit.

Pull the plug on the idle control next time and see what happens

I'll give that ago also thanks Joey I will let you know how it goes I hope to run a scan tool on it on Friday to see if that picks up any errors also!
