Hi All,

So I have done some reading on this via search, but I didn't want to resurrect old posts...

Anyway, I found the stock sizing for the V36 Sedan 18's are;

Front - 225/50/18

Rear - 245/45/18

I read that general tolerance is +-10/15mm for the width, but most were referring to the 19's so I'm not quite sure if I can pull the trigger based on that info.

The profile I'm unsure of what the tolerance would be there for the 18's too.

I did notice someone had 245/45/18 all round, the general consensus was that all round same size is good, but I just wanted more confirmation from a few people again to make sure it would be wise to also go for 245/45/18 for my sedan.

I was thinking either Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 or Kumho KU31's.

I would also like to add the reason I'm seeking for all round is because the stock 225/50/18 fronts are difficult to find.

Any helpful replies appreciated. Thanks :)

If you are running OEM sports sedan wheels then yes running 245/45/18 is fine (legal according to my tyre guy). I have been doing that since day 1 of getting the car. The front wheels are 7.5" and rears are 8.5".

I recently put tyres on mine also, but kept the staggered setup. Difficult to find a matching set due to the front size (I think Bridgestone re50's might have them but these do wear fast - I've had these on another car).

So fronts I went Pirelli 225/50/18

Rears Goodyear 255/45/18

These were nearly 2 years old when they arrived, but balanced up great and hold pressure perfect. Considering $700 rrp not to bad. They took a bit longer to scrub in then usual probably due to the age, but after a 1000km or so they are good now. This setup gives almost equal 'buldge' front and back so looks good to me, but you can get this tyre in 245/45/18 also.

I was just thinking about another staggered setup that would work, and has lots more brands and options to choose from also.

Front: 235 50 18

Rear: 255 45 18

I've seen Sumitomo HTR ZIII around for about $200 each and get great reviews (I'll be looking at this next time).

I steer clear of brands like Achilles, Nexen, Nankang etc, because in my experience they all have dangerously bad wet weather performance.
