ok so i think i found a much better place for injector cleaning. just had a quick look. anyone been or heard of AZNEW ? http://www.aznew.com.au/

Sorry for the random posts but I am just scrolling through your thread now. As well as cleaning your injectors you should get a report saying how much they pump - they need to be as close as possible (within 10% at least) - and also that will confirm what injectors you have.

Same colour has the 700cc injectors though that's why I thought maybe it's them.

Anyways u took a pic of the vipec ecu and honestly it looks good to me but I don't know shit about electronics. I sent pics the vipec dude. Waiting to see his responsepost-14097-0-32795600-1446165060_thumb.jpg

Testing when you get around to it will tell you exactly what injectors you have. They may have been modified in some way.

As per my PM i suggest you deal direct with the factory with the ecu. Their knowledge and expertise is second to none. I don't know who you are dealing with now but they are probably incentivised to sell you a new ecu rather than fix yours.

Went to start car again and flooded it. Made me realise how unready I am for this car. I'm thinking I should sell it or part it out now. I don't have a working car atm and no job and every time I go to an interview they ask if I have a car....never get called back lol stressing me out.

How can you think I could get selling as or parting it out. I rather just sell it as it is but I don't know if anyone would I'm the state it's in. I think I should get something simpler. Like an r33 gtst that's running. I had mates that had them and they never had serious problems. Hoping to get a somewhat decent price and I'll have to borrow the rest to get a working car. Feel like I out a pet or something I so badly wanted to get this car going

Offer it up here for swaps for something , by the looks of it even in its current form you should be able to swap it for something decent. After all it's a gtr, with a decent amount of mods, take some good quality pictures, list of parts you know etc etc and someone can come trailer it away..

No offense but with your lack of knowledge parting it would be just as much a pain in the ass than fixing it and you'll be left with half a car and a lot of crap people don't want

yeah thats why i wasnt keen on parting it out lol.

its in rough shape.since its a bee-r r32.4 wide body kit thats made of fibreglass it has stress cracks in quite a few spots. easy for someone who knows how to fibre glass though i guess.

not at home till monday but i think i have pics on my phone that i'll upload.

interior is in pretty good condition though.outside needs a decent amount of work. as for engine, i recon head gasket and/or new valves or valves cleaned and it will be good to go from what i've been reading.i would love to swap it for an r33 gts-t or something similar. was the car i was going to buy in the first place and they're nice to drive.

i'll post some pics in here if i can find some and see what peoples responses are

i'll post a little preview of that i'll put on the for sale section since and someone can critique it lol i've never sold a car before.

Up for sale is my r32 gtr ( r32,4 gtr ) needs some love and attention:

the fibre glass wide body kit has stress cracks in some spots. will be sold with space saver wheels. will need to be towed.

car is also runing stock ecu ( it will start, but its rough due to not liking having no afm and running 800cc injectors) for the time being while the vipec ecu gets checked over as car wouldnt start with it. possible damage to the board from hooking up battery wrong way,

engine possibly needs a new head gasket and/or valves cleaned for sitting for a long time. has low compression on 2 of the cylinders due most likely to those reasons.

as for the good bits, Interior is in good condition, shouldn't take much to get it going.

Would suit someone who knows what they're doing or has a budget to get it running and looking good.

will look awesome with some TLC

Also just put in new NGK BCPR7ES spark plugs, new Optima Yellow D51R-T1 battery and a new POD filter.

probably alot of other mods i don't know about

would make an awesome track/drift car

    • What could be causing my clutch problem besides a bad master or slave then? Both those parts are new
    • Just came across this, but in QLD I start leave again in 2 weeks, if it is still available I might drive up and check it out Unless, @MBS206 do you live near here????, if so I could hit you up with a finders fee https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/hope-island/auto-body-parts/nc-mx5-factory-hard-top/1328976391
    • My hold point for future mods is that I want a OEM detachable hard top first, but, finding one is a pain, MX5 Mania are looking for one for me, but, as hens teeth are more common, finding one in Australia is proving problematic  I can get a OEM one from overseas, hell, you can still get new ones in 'Merica, but, shipping is a absolute killer and I cannot justify the cost, or the risk of it being damaged during transport As for the aftermarket hardtops, whilst they do the job of being a hard top, and are fine for a track car, they don't seal well (read: leak like a sieve in the rain), and you need a plastic/poly rear window, plus they are a bolt in option only and not made to be easily removed I liked how the hard top on my NB could be fitted, and removed, by myself, in less than 5 minutes I know it sounds bad, but I'm waiting for someone to write off a car with one so I can swoop in on their pain, it will go to a good home though, so my guilt of this is tempered
    • I’ve got one on mine and it’s fine,
    • No, you don't want to plug the vacuum line, as that will turn that side of the booster into an air spring and probably make it feel worse. I'm not saying that the GTR master itself doesn't need a booster. I haven't paid attention to the GTR one to know what size it is cf the non-GTR ones. But when you think about it - they have to do the same job, which is to move a little slave piston a few mm to do what it is supposed to do, and that final action is the same on all the cars. So, it is very unlikely that the GTR MC is any different than the others, because it has the same pedal stroke and the same output requirement. The booster just makes it feel easier. I'd suggest you probably have an actual hydraulic problem. It's totally common on these old shitboxes.
