I've changed my sump on my RB25det to a rear sump for my E36 swap. And now with the rear sump on the transmission bracket is hitting and is impossible to install. I've been told it is okay to not run it, but I want to confirm first. Loosing 4 fasteners holding the transmission to the engine is a lot in my opinion.

hahaha this is the opposite of the doing skids on the way to the bottle shop thread.

Nissan thought having additional support over the 4 block to gearbox bolts was a good idea, I'd take their lead. Depending on what you mean about the "rear sump" I'd be looking to add some sort of custom bracket to at least 2 bolts.
