R34 Rear Diffuser Restore/paint

Contemplating buying one but am in two minds about how to go about tidying it up as I have been offered one that needs a little restore (but comes with new nismo style extended fins).

I've seen threads of people wet sanding them back lightly and clearing them to make them look shiny new again, but was wondering if anyone has satin or matt blacked one before?

I restored my diffuser a while back with gloss acrylic clear and it turned out average. Never tried black, should be ok but i think clear is better to show the carbon weaves. Doesn't hurt to try, if you don't like it just sand it back and do it again. Would also advise to use spray gun instead of spray can unless you are really good with your can
