Hi Everyone,

We have had to reschedule our dyno weekend as the extraction fan for the dyno room was delay due to manufacturing times. The new date is the 14/15th of August and we are still taking bookings. The event will proceed as usual.

It should also be noted that we have opened the workshop with a number of nissans already been worked on. I would encourage anyone out there looking to get some work done to either give us a call or pop down for a friendly chat.

Cheers,

Trent

The workshop is open but we have moved our "official opening" that was meant to be this weekend to the 14/15th of August.

We will still be using the dyno sparingly and we have a number of cars booked in for the normal workshop side of things. We will be at the workshop on the weekend, so if anyone wants to pop down, say g'day and have a tour of the place, by all means drop in. I would love to meet as many people as possible.

Cheers,

Trent

    • I spent the entire of the long weekend going through my garage and I'm now, after 3.5yrs in this house, able to fit a car in. The garage is quite long and the back half has a high enough ceiling for a 2 post lift but it's going to just take too much space and I don't think I'd be able to get around the car if it was in the air. So, in comes the quick lift. It looks perfect. High enough to do most things, I reckon even getting a gearbox out would be doable.  Does anybody here have one? They're fairly cheap (~$3k) considering...  https://www.dtmtrading.com.au/product/quick-lift-portable-vehicle-hoist-3500-kg-worksafe-approved/ I'm also a bit of a non risk taker so I'd probably still use stands when under!
    • Well now we all see it! I did the same. Then cut it out. Then melted half of it. Then discarded it entirely. So... you're in good company.
    • I just replaced the god awful, sagging, crunchy bonnet insulation. It's something nobody but I see but it's been at me for a while.
    • yeah the south island is stunning, the wifes family is from the west coast down there so we were down there for christmas.   a high 10 would be a stretch but hilarious if it happened. fourth gear is its party gear, i don't have traction to throw more at it at lower speeds. I've found passengers don't think its that fast, i think it's because it has a digital dash so they can't see the needle move so they have no sense of speed
    • You have (externally anyway) a lot of patience!  At the very least your patience has rewarded you financially even if you decided you were over it!! I only just read your first experience of seeing the car, that would have been amazing!  Well documented too! It must be exciting knowing there's only 10 months left until you can get it on a boat and on it's way!!!???
