Hitachi Vs Splitfire Coilpacks?

Which of these two would throw more energy to my spark plugs?

Does anyone have any real world data on these hitachi coilpacks or are they basically a standard replacement coil with no performance gain over standard ones?

One other thing to add, does more energy help, or are you just looking for more voltage for a better spark?

There is a bloke rewinding XR6 coils locally, shoving twice as many windings in to bump the voltage to twice what the factory coils run, this fixes all their spark and gap related issues. Perhaps someone should contact him about the Skyline ones? Or just do what the Evo guys do and run coils that are known to have zero issues like Yaris coils.

The usual things. Some sort of bracket/mount plate. Some wiring/plug mods.

Well, Splifires became available when OEM Nissan ones started dying of old age, but when OEM Nissan coils required hocking a kidney and 7 years of sperm donation to pay for. Things may have changed but their position at the top of the "I need new coils list" hasn't really changed.
