Cut Up Rb26

Got given a busted RB26 head so I had it put through a saw. This one had a ported inlet.

This is what the inlet valve looks like at standard cam lift.

Don't be hating on the exhaust port. Remember they twelve valves reduce down to six ports so the cross section isn't at right angles to the port and consequently shows it getting small which isn't really correct.

True, but imagine how much nicer they would be if they were raised 10-12mm.....or more

Those inlets are just a basic port, casting lines are still visible, looks like just a throat job.

yeah, I'm surprised by that - beautiful intake port shape and geometry and then a hot garbage exhaust port.

Would it be possible to get one cut through the middle of the cylinder? ie between the valves. Would make for an interesting comparison
