You've sorted out all the copyrighting and legal issues I trust? :D

They are recordings of public radio broadcasts in high quality stereo sound!

There are no issues. I have had that leagl issue sorted from the guy I bought them from.

If ya don't have anything positive to say please don't say anything!!!

Cheers :D

J-Flash, there is no need to get acrimonious. I was mearly posing an obvious question, in fact one that any honest person put forward - can you fault that?

You could have just answered 'yes'...

:D

I hope your not insinuating that I am dishonest as that statement may be considered defamatory and liabless.

I have a dictionary too!

I am simply offering some great cheap music obtained legally, to my fellow skyline owners.

Thoase of you not interested please don't comment. If your bored hassle the civic drivers on their website!!!

Cheers and Doof doof on!!

J-Flash :D

You may have a dictionary but you could be perceived as being a little misguided with regards to defamation laws (9024-4359 i, ii, iii). Re-read what I said please, without a heated conscience this time champ.

I was only asking a simple question based on experience of being deceived in the past. Surely one cannot blame me for asking such a question. However, if the afore mentioned question has offended you then I offer my sincere apologies and ask that you overlook my 'cyber' abruptness.

J-Flash, if you have something for sale, put it up in the for sale section. This section is for Car audio, not for selling stuff.

further, please feel free to read http://austlii.law.uts.edu.au/au/other/med...a.OLD/3936.html Conditions upon which manufacturer may make records of musical work.

Which states that to be free of liability:

before the making of the record, the prescribed notice of the intended making of the record was given to the owner of the copyright

and

where the record is so sold or supplied by the manufacturer:

(i) the sale or supply is made with the licence of the owner of the copyright; and

(ii) the prescribed royalty is paid to the owner of the copyright

A bit of documented proof might not go astray. You might not have to answer to Fhrx's inquirie on the legality of these recordings, but if you intend to sell these recordings on SAU then I suggest you answer to our requests for proof. We do not condone selling of illegal items on this forum.

Drop the big words and cough up the proof, or this thread WILL be deleted.

Recorded from the radio or not, I can tell you right now that selling copies of these artist's work without prior written permission and consent, and royalties paid to the artist, is ILLEGAL.

Hey Guys,

As for the thread in the wrong section you are right, so please please please delete this thread before someone else with too much time on their hands has a coronary!

Due to the nature of the response from senior members of this site and some other individuals, I won't be proceeding with providing you the copyright proof I have since obtained which relates to the expressed permission given by these artists to allow me and others all over the world to distribute their public broadcasts (only) for the sole purpose of future album and tour promotions.

And also to the fact that I was intending to donate between $5 and $10 per order to the SAU website to try and give back something in thanks for the countless hours of enjoyment and education this site has given me,

this of course will now not be possible.

other members of this site will now not have the opportunity to benefit from the enjoyment of this music.

I want to make this last point- I did not intend in any way to make a huge profit from this idea. I merely obtained the music legally loved it and wanted to share it with certain members of this site (and other people) and maybe spark discussion and future get togethers and benefit the site also.

I am guessing the guys who started this site had that in mind when they did just that - started!

in my opinion you have lost site of this, again just my opinion.

If you got to the end of this message, thanks for baring with me. Anybody who agrees with me you can PM me. Those of you who don't no doubt will leave their public opinion.

Cheers,

J-Flash

J-Flash: Good mature response.

Personally, I LOVE those DJs and would love to get my hands on a copy of those broadcasts... It saves me downloading them from TranceAddict :P, but you must understand where we're coming from. Selling recorded radio broadcasts of copyright material is illegal, and as such, we are just ensuring that such illegal sales are not tied with Skylines Australia.

If however, you can show that you have prior permission from the artists to distribute copies of their work for profit, like you have claimed... I will personally buy one of each CD off you.

please do not sell this music. you do not own or nor do you own the rights to it.

the guys from itwt would be very pissed off at you. they do this shit to please everyone not so wankers like u can make monery from it. ffs. its free for the community, why sell it?

oh by the way

high quality and mp3 is a bit of a conundrum unless the bitrate is 224 or higher, which im sure its not.

i have stacks of 192 mixes from itwt but i would not pay for them. if i was paying for them i would want a copy straight from the decks or dat and no other noise done at audio cd quality

Once more for the people who do not read clearly.

A request has been made to have the thread removed.

I did not intend (Paul33R) to make money from it just to cover the costs I have incurred.

But thank you for your opinion but there is no need for name calling. I have read alot of your posts Paul33R and have learned a lot from them for that I am appreciative. But no one likes to be called something there not. I am surprised you of all people have reacted this way, very disappointing.

Again I ask the controllers of this site to remove the thread before anyone else wastes there time when they could be spending it reading or responding to something useful.

Cheers,

J-Flash :D

Sorry mate Out of principle I would not sell them to ya.

I am sure I will find out.

    • Thanks! Will get it looked at before winter 🥶 other than that she's a mint ride love it aye
    • FWIW a lot of the local owners that do a big build tend to have cars that are perpetually broken.
    • I just got this system but haven’t installed yet I got a Moroso sealed box (defect reasons) which will be set up same as their pic The quality is high grade, the correspondence I had with the owner (former head designer for Rockford Fosgate) was unbelievable, guiding me with what I needed. Even told me not to buy some things as it could be sorted in a different way at his loss. Just a bit of a bite with the exchange rate and don’t purchase gear in 1 hit that goes over $1,000 au, lol I forgot!
    • Thanks mate for that reply. Very helpful.    it’s a 2022 400R so would most likely lose those features as you say.     I did a quick compare of a rv37 nav and heading for sale in Japan to q50 model. I’ll pop pics below. Seems  Japan spec head into top, nav unit second below it   below pic Q50 aud delivered     differences seem to be Aus delivered has a different plug top left hand side of head unit- not sure what and where it goes.   and nav unit Japanese tv37 had an extra plug put    Again I’m really not sure what each of these differences mean!       the actual plugs on a v37 and q50 screens look identical on both screens… pics below for comparing. (One screen was is a us delivered one) but should be same gps signals etc as Australia.    If it were as simple as swapping a nav unit from q50 aud delivered im interested -just want to figure out what the missing plug is for before spending big $ on a second hand part for it to not work, and I guess with the head unit, if the band expander does the job (I got a 20mHz so should get the range I’m after) so should narrow my issue down to nav unit only.  I’d love to know what the extra cable on rv37 does and if I eliminate that part what it’ll do to the setup,    and also, if I can figure out what that head unit plug difference is, what does that cable do and where does it got can it be altered or re-plugged?! Excuse my ignorance what is ACP/AA, what does that stand for? (Apple car play? Android air play)? so If I swapped head units to save using a band expander, I’d likely lose those better features to have an oem Unit operational. Better to use a band expander and retain AirPlay options and newer version of head unit     provably best to band expand it, and focus on the nav unit. th isn’t  a big deal/ would be cool to have it working  from what I can tel we use a PAL Signal and Japan uses a NTSC signal  I don’t know if there’s a co better or if the screen only reads NTSC, or if it’s the tv module that needs replacing… no big deal don’t need it but more of a curiosity thing on that!   Thanks for the info re tyre sensors, helpful and great to know.  I was reading the online manual off Japan website and it seemed to make it sound more confusing than it is  I guess a rim replacement would require the sensors to be moved to a new rim to carry that option over?!     Thanks for the info regarding diagnostic mode. I appreciate your help mate. Trying to brainstorm here to find a solution to get as much gadgets as I can working! I plan to get my local Nissan tech to have a look too who used to be at an Infiniti dealer back in the day to see if any thing they have or idea can find a soliton. But hoping anyone here has gone down the same route to make life easier!!   i guess identifying the cable/plug differences and what they do would be a great way of finding out if the units are transferable    thanks again
    • No idea about the remote start part. If the V37 nav is anything like other Nissan JDM vehicles, you can't get the factory Japanese nav working in australia, a card from a different car almost certainly won't work, those cards are usually matched to the serial number of the DCU.  You could be possibly swap out the components from a AuDM Q50 to get it working, but if this is a new model (2021+) 400R, then you will lose the newer features like ACP/AA.  That said, if you have ACP/AA, just use google maps.. I assume a band expander would be required to get the local radio stations, but don't forget the Japanese FM band is narrower than ours, so you still might not be able to receive all Australian stations. I can't see any reason the tyre pressure sensors won't work here, there is the sensor unit inside the rim and the receiver nearby in the wheel well.  I have never had to change the batteries on my 2015 Q50, so I assume they last quite a while.  A straight battery change shouldn't need them to be re-registered as they are the same unit, that should only be required if you replace a sensor with a new one.   Word of warning, if you ever go into the 'secret' diagnostics mode on the main screen, DO NOT EVER do a 'reset' in this menu, it will erase all of your model specific data in the DCU and you will need a trip to a dealer to re-program it all, which would be particularly painful being an import.  This applies to the AuDM Q50 too.
