Well after what seems like an eternity to me I'm finally back and marked my return today at Phillip Island with a new PB of 1.47.24. Not too shabby given it is the 1st full track day I have got through in my car since Oct 05 and that the tyres I was on (toyo's) were definitely a good 1.5-2s slower than the bridgestones looking at how much Scotsman could get back on me through the sweepers and under brakes.

Racepace FTW! :whistling:

I was running 1.45s last year at an Alfa day. I can't remember the exact times though... Top of the list for me please...

Also, I ran 1.45.5 around Eastern Creek last year...

But he's right, I did see a 1:45.8 from memory on Racetime at PI, before they deleted all previous event results....

I've seen a dyno sheet with 380+ kw. What happened to the extra 30 kw?

I remember as we came out of turn 4 and onto the back straight and you were in front of me, I wasn't able to reel you in but you weren't able to pull away either. So I'd say we're line ball on power but you have me everywhere else :D

I can see you in a 32.......and i can see myself in a 34....wanna swap? ;)

Its always satisfying when you can actually keep up with a car in a straight line...always so frustrating to be losing out in a straight line and having to fight to catch them up through the corners and under brakes....lol i can only do it for a few corners before overdirivng and losing even more time :D

Power: 350rwkw Sandown

F#$CK me, no wonder you blew me into the weeds on the straights.....

I reckon by the 3rd flying lap, my car is down to about 280-285 rwkw given how hot it gets and how much timing is coming out and how much fuel is going in. I'm shooting 3 foot flames on decel when water temps are over 100deg C.

Cheers

It's all factory issue for the ducting. The oil temps are not too bad as the oil cooler is in the front bumper and angled for maximum surface area. I've still got my air-con condensor so it blocks most of the radiator at the front.

With power comes heat, so unless I ditch the air-con there's not much I can do apart from doing some work at the bottom of the car to direct some air flow up into the hot part of the radiator.
