Come on Roy give us family men a break...those MS weekends away are the only sane weekend I get these days :bunny:

How can they have up so mcuh in the space of 3 years. Teh yen exchange rate is about the same, the tyres are old hat nothing new in the way of compounds. FARKING RIDICULOUS! LOL , i need to find some 16X9" rims

Couldn't agree more Roy!! The manufacturer's reasons for the price rise doesn't quite equate to the actual dollar increase if you get my drift. Oh well I suppose someone has to pay for their F1 campain and advertizing :P

Duncan - I'm not actually convinced the Advan 050 Medium is a medium in the Dunlop sense if that makes sense. Guys are getting great wear rates out of them so I reckon they are just called a Medium in comparison to the A048's - which were HARD.

It's probably why that compund comes in Medium, Soft and Super Soft rather than Hard, Medium and Soft.

I'm going to give the A050's a crack next as I the reports I've had are that they are harder / longer lasting than the Dunlop R compounds despite being called a medium. Because given the medium is the hardest compound the tyre gets made in what is the reference point? It's all just marketing rather than a base figure probably.

New member here and only started track work this Feb at Winton. Still suck at driving but here's my times

Cool, any vids of the lil Astra doing its thing....thats a fair wack of grunt at the wheels. Are they easy to get that sort of power from?

I've got a really bad video taken by the missus at calder from the weekend, i'll have to get it loaded up.

Takes alot to get power out of an astra as no one over here makes the stuff so I have to import it all pretty much. If only i didn't like opels, it would be so much cheaper
